My favourite band "The Story so Far" are performing in LONDON in December. I have no one that I know that listens to them but am actually thinking about still going.
What are your experiences going to a show alone?

I love those guys. Pop Punk is all over west coast usa.

But yeah I go alone. I'm going to One Ok Rock in Chicago alone. Flying even.

When I first went I was like um ok just gonna see how it goes. But surprisingly lots of people liking the same stuff you like in the same place was easy to just chill and hang out.

Local shows are more comfortable for me to go to. I am feeling a bit nervous about flying out of state for a show (OOR). I do wish I could meet up with other people.

Nothing wrong with it. If you like it, go to it. What other people think shouldn't matter. Not to mention you almost always run into some cool people to hang with or meet. If someone has an issue with it then that's their problem. Go enjoy yourself. Never know when they might be around again.

I'm seeing The Story So Far also but in Cardiff.
Honestly, it's not that bad if you go to a show alone. If you really don't want to go alone then ask around via social media or try to convince friends. Either way you're there for the music so it doesn't matter.

I've been to concerts by myself before. Honestly, when you're there, listening to one of your favorite bands, you won't even remember that you're alone since you're so immersed into the music and your eyes are glued onto the stage.

You're surrounded by hundreds of people who share the same passion as you towards the music and while you're all dancing and singing along together, you feel like you're a part of something greater and it doesn't even matter if you went by yourself or not.

Definitely go. I've gone to a few shows alone, always had a blast. Even flew to Denver alone to see BABYMETAL/Lady Gaga about a year ago.
You can't miss a chance to see your favourite band. As you get older, your biggest regrets in life are usually the things you DIDN'T do.

Go, you will not regret it. I have been to many shows on my own and also festivals. All of which are amongst the highlights of my life so far, met some awesome people at these places and also found new bands.

100% reccomend you go, it'll be a great experience and you might even make some new friends with the same interest in music. to gig with in the future.

I've gone to shows both with others and alone, and I think I actually prefer going alone. Going with someone allows for a shared experience which is, of course, good and can elevate things in some scenarios but this only really works out well if you're both into the band you're seeing at the same level. If you go alone, however, you get more of a focused experience. You can enjoy the show however you want to whatever level you want, and you can even step out of your comfort zone a little without being concerned about how someone you know is going to perceive it. If you want to go nuts or if you just want to listen, you're not burdened by having to split your attention between the show and the social aspect of being at the show with a friend. Plus, going to a show alone really opens the door more widely to meeting new people that you can totally choose to connect again with later (or not and just leave things as a "one night at a concert" story).

This. I go to every single show alone, and I have been since I started going to shows in 2011. It's not bad at all. It can be if you're a woman, unfortunately, but you shouldn't really have any problems. People don't care who you're there with or if you're there by yourself, because everyone is there to see the bands.

If you're lucky, you might even make some friends while you're there. I used to be really socially inept, so I never really made any friends, but I recently met some people at Anime Expo during the concerts there and it was great. Don't be afraid to talk to be people, and if people want to talk to to you, don't be afraid to do the same!

One of the great things about music is that everyone in the room is as excited as you are to be there, so you already have that in common.

I find nothing wrong with going to a show alone. There comes a time where you can't wait for someone answer, so you just go. Either way you have fun and you meet new people.

Don't see a problem 'bout going alone. Just because you've got buds, don't mean they'd have a complete similar likings or preferences as yours, or always available to hang. Hell, it even becomes a cool experience for that simple fact of bein' able to enjoy things all your own. If you meet fresh faces, that's added bonus. So go & have fun, bro.
