So I was thinking, shoulder buttons. In the PS1/PS2 era, I would frequently rest my fore and middle fingers on the two shoulder buttons. Now, I almost exclusively switch my forefinger back and forth. The reason? Triggers feel like they are meant to be used with the forefinger. So, why don't gamepads move the shoulder buttons below the triggers? That way the forefinger could rest on the trigger, while the middle finger rests on the button.

I think putting the shoulder buttons below the trigger ones would be a bit awkward. Especially with how "trigger-like" they've become with a curve and all. At least with the PS4 controller in mind I think it's just about perfect for my resting position where the buttons currently are. Then again, I've always used my index fingers for both shoulder and trigger buttons.
