What is the saddest, most heartbreaking scene you've ever seen in an anime?

Tbh, I just started watching anime for about 3 months now and I've only seen a couple animes with romance in them, but if i had to pick one, it would probably be "Plastic Memories"

Okita Mitsuba's arc in Gintama was the worst I've ever seen

I think for me it was the end of the debut episode of School-live I watched yesterday. I've had a lot of sad anime moments throughout the years involving deaths, breakups, sacrifices, etc but none met up with the feeling I had by the end of this episode. It felt like someone ripped the heart from my chest.

Personally it just made my blood go frozen cold instead of making me sad. I can see why it would be sad though.

The ending of Angel Beats is the saddest moment in anime for me though.
