I believe that at the core, females approach things in life in a "feeling" way, and men approach things in life in a "thinking" way.

This is not to say men don't feel or women don't think, obviously. It is just that women tend to insert feelings in how they approach something and men are able to think about things in a non feeling way.

I'm at the point where I am so emotionally detached because I have over thought about so many things with feelings attached to my thought processes.

What do you think? Where are you at on this? Don't bombard me with "this is a sexist statement". I did say I believe, I didn't say we all are.

Examples? I don't know what exactly qualifies you to be a "feeler".

I always try to find a balance between feeling and thinking; I think we all have a bit of the opposite sex within us.

I hope you don't get too detached emotionally, as I consider both thought and feel to be incredibly important. In my opinion, if you sacriifce one for the sake of the other, when you need to be either very cerebral or very empathic, you will fail.

When I think about something, I think how do I 'feel" about it, instead of just "thinking" about it in a practical non- feeling way. Plus like I said, I tend to think women approach things that way, with feelings.

there's this possibly false idea that girls are better able to tell what someone else is feeling compared to a guy, in the general case.
this reminds me, i still have to read "Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus" - heard it was a good read.

Going with feeling will most likely go down dark path.
Just saying.

I didn't say one way was better than the other, I just said there was a basic difference, not that one way was better.

Men are the head and women are the antennas?

It's a good book, but I found it to be too heavy on generalizations at times; that should be obvious because of the title, so basically, to me it feels more like a book of loose guidelines of interaction between genders.

Hey that's very zen ; kinda like in martial arts, you think about what you are going to do, but you have to be open to the 'feels' in case you need to change tactics.

I think the same could be applied to thinkers, there are many brilliant people who led some pretty miserable lives. I think I understand what you meant though.

You're making a sweeping generalization about male and female behavior which has been held up as a stereotype forever, so your stated belief is sexist by definition. (I say this not to bombard you, but as a civilized reply to your post.)

I prefer to analyze behavior on an individual basis, myself.
