Hello everyone! It seems this series lacks forum taste, so let me start by adding the spices to spark the flavor that will make others create more discussion!
I enjoy watching Shokugeki no Soma for the character development. Soma witnessing some great competition after his arrogant statement makes it really juicy! Whenever you hear the word Shokugeki in an episode, you know it'll be superb! This series is very promising. Happy cooking!

I've watched up to episode 12 (im hooked on hunter rn) and I gotta say I liked it, I dont really watch much ecchi's and I thought it was gonna be like a drama or something so I was surprised when I first watched it xDD. I mainly watch it because of how delicous the food looks, plus its really entertaining :D.

That's interesting! I like it because of the character development and the characters themselves! HxH is really good. It's in my top 10. Schwing, hehe.

I had a hard time getting through the first episode but I really like cooking anime and manga. Coincidentally, I really like food, so I find it very interesting. I also enjoyed watching Top Chef online so having an anime about cooking is great. Either they toned down the ecchi stuff or I just got desensitized as the show went on, I'm not sure.

That said, naked apron senpai is sexy and confusing. I would never try to fry anything while wearing just an apron - that is just asking for trouble! I'm waiting for the big reveal that being naked somehow helps him cook better.

I honestly have to say that I love the over the top way they have shown the food . As a chef myself I found it incredibly amusing in many ways and yet it appears whoever wrote it may have actually known their subject fairly well . the basics of what they show are correct from their it just is good old anime magic . I'm loving it . the thought of seeing someone lose themselves physically because of a dish is so hilarious to me .

I didn't expect a lot, but I found myself really enjoying it. The ecchi aspects are somewhat integrated with the story. Even though it's over-the-top, it doesn't seem awkward and forced. And while it has a lot of humor, it also seems to take the core of the story seriously. You can tell there is a genuine love of food and cooking behind it.
