Suppose the unimaginable happened, and nations lost their relevance in a world dominated by massive corporations. What would be the first thing you'd do?

Edit: *has been taken over by corporations

I think this already happened. Political corruption and backdoor deals aside, let's consider the following:

1) Corporations became people and can basically give unlimited money to SuperPACs (at least in the U.S., which is one of the centers of the free market).

2) Nearly every third world country is being milked for resources (*cough* oil *cough*) and for products by the first world for cheap labor.

3) These same countries milking labor from other countries are going into debt because of outsourcing, bringing them to the knees of China and other industrial nations, which use corporations as an economic weapon.

4) Laboring conditions in unregulated third world countries we outsource to are horrendous, raising the suicide rate.

5) First world nations are reliant on consuming these products, deadlocking first world nations into buying from industrialized nations due to outsourcing, rather than producing the product themselves.

6) Outsourcing has caused our currency to also outsource, so recovery is extremely difficult without inflation

7) Conservatives are fighting for expanded rights for major corporations rather than regulating the problem, which comprises of typically half the country (at least in the U.S.)

As to handle the issue...there are ways, but none of them are realistic considering whose running the country...

There is only one way.
Get money out and real democracy back in. In politics, specifically.

Ever heard of a site called Wolf-Pac.com?
Or we can convince this one guy called Larry Lessig to become a "citizen president."

Meanwhile, the need for internationally applying and impacting equivalents to things such as safety standards, pay standards, and so on...UN? Hallo? Um...hallo?

Repo! The Genetic Opera!

My roommate showed me this metal musical. Defiantly interesting. Plastic surgery becomes a fad. If you cant pay it gets taken back. Big company runs the entire area with the power of money.

Dark, weird, twisted, probably a cult classic, but made me think of that!

LOL @ people who say world's already ruled by corporations

Obviously corporations aren't ruling ENOUGH of the world, otherwise all these peeps that AREN'T under the control of corporations wouldn't be running amok... Terrorists, North Korea, Iran, Syria, etc etc etc

Silly kids.
