GEORGE WASHINGTON

Good - Made America into a country from just being a colony, not only led but fought in the bloody Revolutionary War, planned and beat the greatest army in the world at that time (Britain) with a bunch of ragged, starving colonists, wanted all men to be free and equal, believed in freedom of religion, no monarchy and was a tolerant, open minded man.

Bad - Had bad teeth but his ancestry WAS British after all.

Other - He liked his tea in the harbor. Apple trees were his life and he lived for fancy wigs and breeches! Also had a thing for his black lady maids and had a lot of biracial kiddies...to the displeasure of his wife OH NOES.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN

Good - Ended slavery, created the Emancipation Proclamation and was the rigid, unwavering leader in the Civil War known for his honesty, respect, kindness and forthright personality and the Gettysburg Address.

Bad - Would actually be racist by today's standards SURPRISE.

Other - Should NEVER have gone to the theater. Like, EVER. Liked tall hats but didn't get along well with his wife.

FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT

Good - New Deal to get America on its feet during the Great Depression, booting morale over the radio with Fireside Chats, Infamy Speech, leading America during WW2 (and having America do the most out of all countries concerning the Empire of Japan and second most work overall after Russia), also helped ease racial tension and created the first all black pilot groups. Also had the GREATEST First Lady of all time, so much so that she was called the "First Lady of the World".

Bad - Japanese-American Internment, putting WAY too much trust in Stalin a.k.a, Soviet Russia.

Other - Had Polio and used a wheelchair - as if that stopped him from being a BADASS. Churchill was his BFF but WW2 made FDR super depressed and he died mentally scarred in Warm Springs GA. Boo.

FDR changed the country with the New Deal, and he did it for the better and for the long term. As of now he is the best president we ever had.

Yeah... I could go into so many reasons why not only is FDR highly overrated as a President, but how ineffectual, and also economically unsound, and destructive the New Deal was to the healing process of the Great Depression. Not everything was bad, but a whole lot of it was, and the economic philosophy behind it all was both unsound, and completely wrong.

Anyway, the best President ever is Thomas Jefferson, followed very closely by George Washington. Both definitely knew how to nurture a brand new nation, that is for sure. For a more modern President...................................................................... Reagan I guess? He sure wasn't perfect, but for the time, I would like to say he was the best in the past 40 years. Mostly because everyone else has been a varied group of jokes and a-holes (usually both at once.)

I like Lincoln for many reasons. I'm always hopeful for a good president. But it's been hard to have hope when seeing the direction that America is heading.

Obama is the best president. He made healthcare more easily accessible, is trying to ban guns, and opened a lot of education oppurtunities and made sure vets got their benefits.
His wife also is helping america get skinny.

FDR, because there is a sweet spot between capitalism and socialism whether people want to believe it or not.

Full on socialism means a lack of motivation to cultivate innovation. <--- This is what killed the soviet union
Full on capitalism means a never ending one sided game of monopoly. <--- This is what caused all of the union disputes and violent riots

In terms of the creation of modern America and our place in the world as we know it today, its a toss up between FDR, Nixon, and Reagan.

Thank you! Glad there are others who realize Nixon was more than just Watergate.
