Sexism. When you hear pr read that word. What do you feel
Posted 7/11/15
How do you think about Sexism. Is it a problem ? Have you ever been call that ? Was it fair ?
A girl I been fighting with say she was going to cream rape Apparently she thou people will side with her.
One the girls was having a bid of fun with me. Cough she want my D but being a bitch about it. So things got physical with her. Not in a violent manner mind you. But in a kind of way that I don't want you touching me. I was trying to get away basically.

So the other girl saw us struggling and well she went bitch mode. And say out loud that I was raping the other girl
I look a her and say to her. If somebody attack me because of your bullshit I will beat the shit out of them and you. Them for asking question later and you being an asshole. Luckily everybody all ready new what was happening and call her on her bullshit.

Have any of you readers, ever been in a similar situation ? Where somebody uses their gender again you ? So before anybody ask how I knew she was using her gender against me. We use to fight a lot and well people then to reveled a lot of shit about them self during those verbal exchanges.

I'll be honest, I had a hard time following your post. Not 100% sure what happened in your story, but I think I get the point.

Anyway, sure, I've been on the receiving end of sexism plenty of times by men and women alike. I'm sure it happens to everyone.

Hmm well i've had my butt gropped by females at a bar before, but iam not allowed to do that shit...
And girls will come and sit on your lap, but imagine if a bloke went and sat on a girls lap.
EDIT:oh and i once lived next to an older women and she kept knocking on my door all the time for what ever reason she could think of. If I did that to a women i'd be sexually harassing her and a stalker.

As far as how I feel about the word itself, I think it's overused and is used by a lot of people to attempt to escape criticism.

As far as legitimate sexism goes, I think it's horrible and shouldn't be a problem for either gender.

Honestly, I'm just tired of hearing the word. It's starting to lose all meaning and the overuse of it for every little thing that happens to a woman is just going to hurt people who actually have to deal with legitimate cases of sexism in the future. It's starting to turn into another way of saying "You disagree with me."

Yeah its the same with racisim and even pedophilia. Its just so over used and exagerated.
If your a white male then you are automatically sexist, a misogynist, racist and a perverted pedophile.
Shits getting out of hand.

I feel it is as over used as "I have ADD" or "I have ADHD" or "I am so OCD". These people throw terms around that they really don't know the meaning of. Just look at the god of the Old Testament if you really want to see sexism.

"If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days...But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks..." - Leviticus 12:1-5 Pretty bad, not toooo bad though.

The first seventeen verses of Exodus 22 deal with restitution in case of stealing, or damage to, a person's property. Verses 16 and 17 deal with the case of a man who seduces a virgin. This was viewed as a property offense against the woman's father. The woman was expected to marry the seducer. If her father refused to transfer ownership of his daughter to the seducer, the latter was required to required to pay money to her father. The money would be in compensation for the damage to the father's property - his daughter. It would be difficult for a non-virgin to marry.
-Exodus 22:16-17

I could have a field day with these. This is what true sexism would look like. Women being a property. Women being unclean. Or a list of hundreds of others.

I'm going to be blunt, the word annoys the living hell out of me because it's so over-sensationalized that even third wave feminists have confused themselves on what it actually is. When I hear the word I think of middle to upper-class Western women with useless degrees and too much time on their hands complaining about a hard life they've never lead using circular and hypocritical analogy, and a bunch of sheep gathering to be indoctrinated by their drivel. For this reason, and many others, I've chosen to strictly identify myself as an egalitarianist.

I think it's a real issue that a certain subset of people refuse to acknowledge as one for a variety of reasons. I also feel that due to extremists on both sides of the issue polluting the waters it's nearly impossible to have any real discussion about it, especially online.
