For me it's a tie between Lyndon B. Johnson and Jimmy Carter.

I'm a little surprised that you would pick Johnson because without his contributions your state would still be voting democratic.

The bush clan, Well the brother was never in office, but ask any person from Flordia they'll tell you how much Jeb sucked. XD Yeah, you don't want him in office. lmao Feels like when both Father and son in office, it was always going to wars, and the people always complain how much they hated them, now it's Obama they hate.

Why Ronald Reagan? I've heard he was a good president for exposing on some of the things the Government did. I didn't live in the 80s though, so yeah. Bush always wasn't good at speeches. lmao

You need to talk to different people.Reagan talked about taking on government waste , cut taxes, robbed SSI to pay for it, and left the biggest deficit (at that time) in history.Needless to say I was alive in the 80's and I didn't vote for him on either occasion.President Bush(GW) was the worst national career politician I've ever witnessed at delivering speeches, but then again unscripted he was worse. "Mission Accomplished" or "Dead or Alive".He later admitted that even his wife got after him for the last one.Yup,you guessed it, I didn't vote for him either.

Johnson was a terrible person, but not a terrible President. I'd say Reagan, Bush Jr, and Nixon are pretty high in worst Presidents though.

Hard to say between Nixon and Obama. Nixon was before my time so I can only go by what I read. Obama, while not currently seen as very bad, over time will turn out to be the worst as his policys have yet to show how bad they are. Obamacare will destroy our health system, he dose not care about illegal immigrants from Mexico, he is fine with killers staying here. Foreign policy is amazingly bad and he has done a lot to keep the economy down while acting like it is doing great.

Media covers up problem on the left, and makes up problems for the Right. Greatest example... sub-prime mortgage, did you know it was Democrats that pushed to start that program? and fought against Bush when he tried to end it in the 90's? Did you know the Confederate flag was raised by Bill Clinton? and it took a Republican to take it down? Yet Democrats are calling it a victory over Republicans?

Every president has his problems, but a community organizer is clearly not suited to be president.

Same rules as the best president thread.

To me, this is a really tough choice between Hoover, Grant and Buchanan.

Buchanan only got us into ONE war.
(Also, imagine if the South were just about ready to sit down with us at the negotiation tables, until Buchanan naively lumped them in with Spain and Mexico as part of the "Axis of Evil" because it sounded good.)

Hoover was actually a great vice-president and Cabinet member--he organized relief efforts for the Russian Famine, our first example of overseas aid--but like some other presidents, he just got hit with a financial crisis early mid-term before he had a chance to do anything else.

Regan did a bunch of stuff that has lead to the problem we still experience specially with income inequity before Regan education in this country was nearly free in many cases or dirty cheap. Under Regan that started to change and with the original Regan tax cuts and hikes yes he raised taxes 11 times because the magic tax cut fairy didn't appear and provide money to the treasury to pay off debt. It flat lined wages in this country. There is a wonderful chart that shows productivity and wages in the United states over the last 100 years and right after Regan cut taxes the go flat with only a 9% increase over the last thirty years.

When taxes are higher on the rich they don't gamble on wall street and they keep their money in the company which means people wages go up. Yes outsource doesn't help this but that only speeds the problem up both can be fixed and should be. So as for living through the 80's yup watch not one but two cities nearly die because of Regan trickle down economics is toxic shit but then they were logging towns and had other issues at the time but Regan's economic policies sure as hell didn't help. Oh he also blew up the debt spent like s drunken sailor on shore leave on all the fancy toys of war.

As for the worse in order Jackson, Hoover yeah making things better with austerity and people wonder why I face palm on Greece, Nixon screwed around with the Peace talks with north Vietnam there is tape of LBJ bitching about it to one of his Republican friends good stuff corrupt no really, Regan arms for hostages he screwed around with the negotiation for the hostages in Iran which drew out the problem to make Carter look worse always wondered what William Casey was going to talk about this is it.
