Andrew Jackson tops the list for me personally, but there are good arguments for putting a much larger number than most people might think into some sort of ranking of the worst presidents. Far too many immoral and/or illegal things seem to correlate with a successful career in politics.

Ronald Reagan since he is largely responsible for handing America over to the corporations on a silver platter.

John F. Kennedy. he was the closest to bringing the US into World War 3, which was probably going to be a nuclear war

Ulysses S. Grant usually goes unnoticed, but he has what is considered one of the most corrupt reign in U.S. History.

Warren G. Harding was also horrible.

Buchanan though has got to be the worst president, considering he basically allowed the Civil War to occur and did jack diddly squat to combat it.

Any president that was around during the Gilded Age would qualify in my opinion. Oh, and Ulysses S. Grant is definitely up there for sure.

Jesus, this topic made me realize there's actually been a lot of shitty ones.

I chose Jackson though because I did a research paper on his douchebaggery. What a sorry excuse for a human being. The poster child for the mentality behind White Privilege.

After watching The Men Who Built America documentary months back, McKinley is pretty up there to. What a stooge.

Franklin D. Roosevelt. Jimmy Carter is also a contender. Obama has a chance too, as his term is not up yet.

BlueOni

No, but really. It's the Grant administration. That's one of the most corrupt in US history. If it's not that one, it's the Jackson administration for all the genocide.

I concur.

Obama for sure thanks to his presidency we can no longer say we won't negotiate with terrorists and he and his cabinet have single handedly set back civil rights in america as well as impose more debt on the american people than any other president. Thanks to what some could make an attempt at saying is his foriegn policy the United States will be going to war again in Iraq and against ISIS. The only president that can top him as being the worst would be Hillary Clinton if she is elected. Just on how she handled her email account and the entire Benghazi incident is enough proof that she would be the worst candidate for the first female president. Second worst is Jimmy Carter because he made it a staple point that indecision is forever the worst decision. The best president is a toss up between Abe and FDR.

In recent history, The United States has not had strong leadership. Every President from the last 75 years could be shown to have faults of their own. FDR creation of Welfare programs. The ABC groups were good they kept Americans working the only time when government should expand. Truman allowed for tension to rise between Russia and US. It would eventually lead to the cold war, but he did an amazing job of rebuilding America after the war. He was a far better president that FDR in that respect. Dwight was next, He created a rule of thumb that gave each president after him to start wars with nations, but he built a strong education system that lead to scientific discoveries over the next decade that eventually lead man into space. JFK was in the office for to short of term for our nation to really give him a passing or failing grade. He did help move the civil right movements along. After he passed a southern Democratic President LBJ would pass law that moved the nation closer to the ideals of Civil rights. LBJ continued a war that many people did not believe in and had lost much of the support of the public. He lost to Nixon who we all know for watergate, and I am not a crook. He ended the war in VIentam. Gerald Ford, not much to say there but he did prevent NIxon from being tried and convicted. Jimmy Cater hired Paul Volcker one of the reason Reaganomics worked. He also open the doors to China for America. He was horrible in middle east relationships his actions would lead to breakdowns that would lead to Desert Storm of the 90's and current foreign relationships with region. Reagan help finish off the USSR government, by continued effort in space travel, but is also the first president to spend over billion dollars, and his trend continues today with each president. Bush Senior was responsible for the first armed conflict that was in the middle east. The spend trends and unstable relationship of low inflation through the previous ten years had lead to economic hardship at the start of the 90's. He also fired Paul Volcker who was key to the success of the eighties. President Bush and Clinton followed in the foot step of Carter with Charitable work after the president in international relationships. Clinton was weak in foreign policy, and created laws the destroyed many jobs in america when he helped draft NAFTA. A bill that put the nation in hard economic time until his second term. His second tern was mostly the coverage of his scandals and talks of impeachment. Unlike what the history books tell you Bush Jr. Inherited a debt from president Clinton. The check just wasn't cashed until he was out of office. Bush Jr was also give presidency at one of the worst times in America history. An attack on American Citizens, not soldiers like the attack on Pearl Harbor. Unlike the non-activist approach of his predecessor that choose not engage the enemy in combat after attacks on trade center. Bush pull America into the first armed conflict since his father's Desert Storm. The attack on the world trade center lead the nation into a downward spiral of economic chaos. Proof of this can be seen by the fact that after the attack tourism, travel, and other major sources of US income shut down. It lead to the housing crisis just a couple years later. Eventually leading into the Market Crash of 2008. President Bush was able to Unify the nation after tragic event. He tried to build education policies to help weed out bad schools, but his policy lead to devastating limiting resources to school across the nation. The Current Administration has had one of the slowest recoveries since the Great Depression. In part due to over regulations that have occurred and poor program decisions. Obamacare being one of the most costly ran programs. It failed to do what the purpose of the program was. It did has raised the cost of insuring individuals in the average home 2500 dollars a year. Personally it has raised the cost of my insurance by 300 percent. I pay the fine every year. He has also made decisions that destabilized the Middle East. Giving rise to the group ISIS. Domestic Policies also seem to be a wash with the lost labor participation rate since the 1970 during the Carter Administration. Also he has aided in race relations tension in the United States not seen since the 1990's. Part of the problem is not the President but the coverage of the media, and actions of individuals that I will not give name recognition. for He is also working on foreign policies that will give Iran the Nuclear weapons capabilities in less than 6 months. In some part this is also the failure of the previous two secretary of states. Now his wife has made changes to creating healthy lunch options for students in schools. Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry. One who is possibility of being the next president. I hope that was somewhat unbiased.

My issue is you said Reaganomics worked when actually it hurt us a lot more than it helped.
