Yes. I'm gonna missed Satoru Iwata. He is great leadership of Nintendo. Shigeru Miyamoto, Reggie Fils-Aime, and other Nintendo peoples including the supporters and fans were gave condolence to Satoru Iwata. RIP Satoru Iwata.

There are very few people in the world I truly respect. Iwata is one of those few people because it takes a real man to give HIMSELF a paycut for a failure in sales. Even if it doesn't mean much in terms of overall profits it means volumes in integrity and responsibility. He also understood it's about making a fun experience that everyone can enjoy that gaming is about not maximizing profits.

Nintendo is one of my favorite gaming companies primarily because of how they treat their customers and he was at the head of all that. So again I genuinely respect very few people but Iwata, sir, you have earned it and more.

Sad to see him pass, especially as such a young man. Praying for his family, friends, & coworkers.

Before becoming president, he was a game programmer, who did things in his time many would find impossible. He was blessed by Yamaguchi himself, who saw him as a man of prospect fit for the company. He was in charge of Nintendo during its best times (Wii/DS) and during the worst times (WiiU). He did something no president would do for his company, taking a 50% cut of his own pay for the sake of his employees. For this to happen to him at the age of 55 which is very young for a president, it saddens me up. I'll never forget the funny yet informative Nitendo Directs he always hosted and enjoyed, proving that a head of a company isn't just another corporate suit.

Rest in peace Iwata-san, you will be missed.

I was just thinking a little while ago about how many great and talented people have die this horrible year and now here's yet ANOTHER ONE to put on that godforsaken list!

TO HELL WITH THIS CURSED YEAR!!! T__T ;-; Orz

People said the exact same thing during 2014.

I'm wondering if this year (and last) are really as bad for celebrity deaths as everyone is making it out to be.....or if it's just a case of everyone reporting celebrity death news more often.

more on topic: I hope God lets Iwata release all his new games on Earth as well. D:

To say that Iwata was a genius is an understatement. He was a hard worker earnestly interested in gaming and the making of games, and tried hard to make those along for the ride had a great time. Rest in peace.

Not gonna lie, I cried when I found out. I didn't know him or anything, but he was just an amazing person overall. He was positive about everything and took responsibility when things were going down.

Rest in peace Satoru Iwata.

Without Iwata, Smash bros would've never happened.
Smash is an enjoyable part of my life.
I would've missed out on that part of my life without Iwata and for that I am forever grateful for him.

I rarely get very emotional over a celebrity dying, let alone a CEO but I was crying when I saw the news last night and still getting choked up.

Iwata went up and beyond what you'd expect of a man in his position. He spoke directly to you in the Nintendo Directs, answered your questions in Iwata Asks, was a key fixture at every E3, and above all he was a gamer. This is a heavy loss for the industry.
