I remember all of the buzz around the Naruto live action stage play. I remember the fantastic costumes, the real good casting they did, and the really fantastic still photos of the play.

Then.... Nothing. I haven't heard anymore about it. I googled it (my googling sills are not as sharp as my oogling skills), but all I found was old news leading up to the actual performance dates. However, I couldn't find any news or reviews from the stage play after they had their show dates.

Does anyone know how it did?

Thanks for the youtube link.

I was wondering how they were gonna do the clone technique.... The lights go out, and you don't see it, was my first thought, then I saw some orange lights or something.

*sigh*

I'm thinking the spotty orange lights were a bit of a technical malfunction. I don't know.

The lights come back on and the scroll, as well as the bad guy are gone.... I could have sworn that Naruto prevented the theft of the scroll as well as effected the capture of his teacher-gone-bad in the anime (haven't read the manga).

The scene ends, and the stage crew are met with light applause, or it could just be that the sound was bad. I'm thinking this was a boot-legged video, and not official material. The audience was bad, too. Their cameras flashing the stage at the opening scene with the Hokage.

This could have been the premier event, so there might have still been bugs in the production (not Shino's bugs). Maybe they've made changes and tweaks that improved the show since then. They had a lot of play dates in several different countries. I wonder how it turned out in the end?
