lol

I am 20 years old

I failed it once prior, but road tests in NYC seem to be pretty easy... but I think it was mainly luck because I got a really kind proctor. I blew through a stop sign and she still passed me. Anyway, time to get a car!

When did you get yours and how easy was it?

19. Failed the written test way too many times lol. Then a miracle happened....missed only 3. Passed the driving once, it was pretty easy cause all i had to do was just drive in a small neighborhood.

A week later, Almost crashed into a motorcycle now im paranoid driving near one. xD

Sixteen or seventeen.. I'm old, I forget.

After waiting probably half an hour for the examiner he entered the waiting area with the person who'd been testing before me and they'd failed the exam. The examiner himself was a pretty hardcore former Navy man that appeared to be in his sixties. He also made some racist and misogynistic comments about Asians when we were getting in the car (I took the exam in a Subaru).

Don't think I've ever been that nervous and agitated behind the wheel. I was convinced he was going to find some excuse to fail me, especially since I was so jumpy I turned onto the wrong street at one point.

To my surprise, I passed on my first attempt.

I was 17. Back when getting a boner every ten minutes was a luxury. I remember driver's ed being a lot of fun. We had a course by my school to drive on. I'd sometimes goose the throttle on a straight. When I got out on public roads for the first time, I made my share of mistakes. Took the test, passed the first time and have been a mostly good motorist.

Also a late bloomer of 20, until after two or three years of failing strict written tests, finally decided to use the local driving school, who just happened to have the inside info on where the lenient DMV's were in the area.
Good investment--Never would have gotten it on my own, as I was getting all the hardasses.

When I was 18. My parents would take me to the graveyard to practice at first, then in our neighborhood and finally around town. I passed the written part easy but when it came to driving I almost failed the maneuverability part. I passed on my first try, despite my father saying I would fail, but I was 1 point away from failing.

I got my driver's license at 19.

I actually passed all of the prior written tests in high school when I was around 14 or 15, but I never took the extra step to get the license and just had a permit. I was afraid of driving and always avoided driving lessons. After taking public transportation for a few years I reached my limit and decided to ignore my fear and try for the license. I passed my driving test on the first try after on-and-off lessons since I was 16.

I got my own car and I've been driving since. I'm not going back to public transportation again. It's horrible in Florida.
