depression from a series or season ending? then i would go with monogatari series....and more recently teen romantic comedy snafu series and fate stay/night

depressing over all? Your lie in april is the first that comes to mind....sword art online 2 was surprisingly deep, then theres plastic memories, anohana, tokyo ghoul, guilty crown, ...any of those if you want to feel uncomfortable and depressed

Can anyone suggest any new anime I should start on to get rid of my void?

The anime I've watched and love are:

Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) - This is what gave me the void. First and only I've ever had. At first I didn't like how the characters looked and the storyline and I thought I'd drop it after few episodes. I quickly became addicted and now that I've finished it I don't know what to do. Towards the end I loved it so friggin much. I just want to hear Yuno's voice again.

Bleach - Definitely.

Angel Beats

Tokyo Ghoul

Fairy TAil

Attack on Titan

Re:Zero - New anime that just started so I haven't finished it. I hate having to wait a week for one episode though.

Sword Art Online - Probably my favourite. No void though.

I did when ERASED ended. But Spring anime started airing the week right after so it didn't last long.

Are we talking actual feels or just the general feeling of emptiness that comes with finishing a good series? Because with the second one there are way too many to name.

Yeah I had that with Clannad after story. I don't like watching feels anime tbh, they destroy me.

Have you watched Higurashi? It's been shortened to "When They Cry" over on Hulu. The full title is "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" aka "When the cicades cry" iirc. You get a gripping, suspenseful story, unreliable narrorators, some supernatural elements, and good ol fashioned yandere action.

As far as feeling depressed BECAUSE of anime feels... No. But I've definitely felt a "how can anything ever compare to this" void after watching some. I first felt it from Another, which led to me finally watching Future Diary. Then I just stumbled around a bit until I finally found Higurashi. I'm on the second season now.

I felt like Dusk Maiden had an atrocious ending- they ruined it with the sappy ending. Your Lie in April didn't have that much of a blow, but mostly because it was so obvious I had time to slowly grieve over the series- I figured out the gist of it by the third episodes iirc.

I'm hopping on the Your Lie in April bandwagon. That anime also made me depressed, even though everyone saw the ending coming. It was enough to have me lay in my bed and stare at the ceiling.
Same with Clannad After Story, AnoHana, and I suppose Plastic Memories.
These anime often get brought up here I see.

It happened with Your Lie in April and Erased. I would mention though that even if an anime isn't depressing, I sometimes feel the depression void after finishing a series that I'm pretty invested in. Hunter x Hunter was a good example of that for me, although I could actually start following the manga.
