Knowing that I won't get more Medaka Box and thus no more Kumagawa is something of an existential crisis to me.

Two, and I can remember the moments. SPOILERS DON'T READ AHEAD

Your Lie in April The moment when he reads the final letter at the end, I was a big ball of mush then and seriously felt deflated and depressed at the end.

Clannad Again, near the end when Nagisa Furukawa dies (Yes she's resurrected/timeline changes or wish fulfillment) I felt depressed and terrible, that entire journey for nothing. But at least the ending was nice.

The worst for me are Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Gintama...
I moped for a full month after finishing Gintama and don't even get me started on HxH...it's like my heart has been eaten alive!!
I can't even get into any other anime, and I've been in the void for nearly two whole months. The only solace I can find is in the manga (please Togashi, do not go on another hiatus), tumblr posts and fanfiction.

I am one big hot mess rn.
Please send help.

The more I watched Monogatari (started last year), knowing that I'm getting closer and closer to the end, the more I dreaded each episode. Thankfully Koyomimonogatari and Kizumonogatari came out this year. I would have been sad about Rakugo as well if the season 2 announcement had not accompanied the first's ending.

The latest one I had was Sketchbook Full Colors.
Its a weird choice since its a chill slice of life anime, but I honestly haven't felt this way since I had to say goodbye to my Air Force Field Training friends. You really form a bond through the hardships and the yelling, and for the entirety of being there you are basically family. I genuinely loved all the characters and the final episode was basically a big goodbye, and it did remind me of when me and my buddies hugged each other before parting ways.

ohh boy

Naruto Shippuden has left me like this more than one time.

When I was little (I WAS LITTLE SO DON'T JUDGE), the Pokemon movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew had me depressed for months. Sir Aaron's last words and Lucario's death (AND THEIR REUNION IN THE CREDITS) made me die inside. It made me so incredibly sad that I actually hated it. (I love it now though) To this day I cannot watch that movie without feeling something.

The last episode of the original Yu-Gi-Oh series, as the pharaoh's spirit was put to rest. I don't why why, but the way he held his thumb up and smiled broke me.

I cry easily (anime like HXH, AnoHana, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and billions of others have made me cry) but very few anime actually make me depressed and leave a mark.

Go ahead and laugh

Yes, for me it was Death Note. And even after watching it the second time through, I still ended up having the same feelings as the first time I watched it.

Essentially all slice of life/romance animes I bother with end up killing me. I feel genuine despair and then rebound on dross.
(why else would anyone watch diabolik lovers?)

Like many people have stated, Your Lie in April was simply heartbreaking. The ending instilled into me a sense of melancholy I have still yet to efface. Also, most slice of life/drama/romances amount to me feeling dead inside for the rest of the day. Then I rewatch, obsess, and become enraptured by such shows. Such is life.

I'd say Monster. I'll just say that Johan Liebert is the kind of character that really has a habit of getting to you every time he shows up and every word he says has such a huge impact on the characters and even sometimes the watcher/reader. It's like talking to that cynical person you really want to disagree with, but you know they're partially right and that kind of depresses you a bit. His last words at the end especially got to me because of the situation he was in when he was a child and how it ended up deeply affecting him throughout his life. It's just so good though! I could honestly talk about this series forever and how each and every scene had some kind of meaningful impact to me, but yeah... (It's just a shame that the DVDs are super hard to get a hold of because this is definitely a series I'd be more than happy to own and support to the best of my ability, but sadly it didn't sell well enough and there's only the first volume, but at least there's the manga.)

Psycho-Pass was another one because of Makishima Shougo. He was that kind of villain that I found myself despising because of his cruelty and actions throughout the series, but as much as I hate to admit it I also kind of understood his motivation being a bit of an outcast myself. It's so easy to feel like you don't belong anywhere or that the world's completely rejected you that despite not condoning or thinking he was right in any shape or form (though the Sybil System wasn't necessarily in the right either; this was pretty much one of those series that I ended up disagreeing with mostly every character all throughout), I felt pity for him right at the end and even understood him more than I thought I would. The bastard even got a tear out of me, damn it! >,..,<;

There's a ton more, but these two are probably right at the top of the list for me, personally.

For Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu LOVE!'s first season, it started setting in in February (it was airing in a winter anime slot) and ended in about April. Now that there's a second season, I know I'll be like that again near the end of the season...

Otherwise, I get attached to quite a few anime series I finish. Attachment is proportionate to the standards the show sets for me (either critically or entertainment-wise).
