Art Exhibit Of Michael Brown's Lifeless Body Opens Up In Chicago
Posted 7/15/15

In Chicago, a new art exhibit will feature a life-size installation of Michael Brown’s corpse lying face down on the floor surrounded by police caution tape.

The exhibit, according to WGN, at Gallery Guichard is called “Confronting Truths: Wake Up!” and includes the Brown work by New Orleans-based artist Ti-Rock Moore. Moore, a white woman, says the work represents “white privilege in America and how it negatively affects the black community now and has for generations.”

Honestly I disagree. It is disgusting but thats the point. Its shocking but it confronts people with the problem of police violence against African Americans head on. I think its genius and im fully behind something like this.

Oh yeah cause pushing a guy out of the way totally means he deserves to be shot.

I would say my feelings it in a more direct way to you but I would probably get reported.

There are already basically a ton of art and even pictures of dead African Americans. Its much more explicit than this of course, but still.
I think a better way to go about something like this is to show art, maybe even pictures or videos of Ferguson protests.

Brown's mother said she wouldn't want pictures of her sons dead body being passed around, and this really is no better. and his father just recently expressed his feelings towards the exhibit.

It's surprising that I haven't been shot, I mean I'm not white and deal with the police all the time. I guess not attacking people and shit doesn't cause police to get mad.

Actually know Wilson was actually unaware of what happened and just randomly harassed him on the street.

Okay I can see I do think they should respect the families wishes though if they had the families permission I would be behind it. I do think shocking art has a point and I feel that people(especially white Americans) run the risk of being unaware of how truly horrific something is until they see it directly before them.

Yeah, walking down the middle of the street, then charging a police officer and attacking him. Completely a normal way to act.

Cause the guy he pushed was trying to stop him from robbing his store. And he was shot after trying to take the gun from the cop. I don't know why your all trying to defend him, I think he deserved it personally.

After he ran away unarmed. No matter what happens or what he did which I strongly suspect you and I have a very different account of, If you are not armed you do not deserve to be handled with lethal force.
