I'd have to agree, being left alone by people who believe (and probably spread) malicious rumors doesn't seem all that bad, desirable even.
I'm not sure if this is a joke. Neither is desirable. Bullying is never desirable the hell?

[edit] oh thanks for the clarification

Nope, would never say or intentionally imply that.
Was speaking strictly within the context of the binary choice presented by the OP between physical bullying and alienation.

Emotional scars/tampering is a much deeper effect often times than physical bullying. Why beat them up only to have them heal in a bit when you could simply destroy them at the source?

I lump alienation into the psycological group but on its own it isn't likely to have too much of an impact unless that person is simply that weak. Now if you add in some other factors...yeah.

Thank you for pointing that out.

People shouldn't bully, people should be strong and stand up for themselves as well.

That's where Alienation can come into place. You can be strong and stand up for yourself, but if everyone pretends you aren't there and they decide to ignore you, it wouldn't matter if you were strong or not at that point.

I think this is a no brainer, people who choose the first clearly has never been fucked up

Agreed...

School isn't your entire life, anyway. Both suck in their own ways but physical bullying is just as likely to cause psychological damage. I'd rather have psychological damage than psychological damage AND physical injuries.

I'd rather have physical scars than emotional ones.
So yes, I agree, isolation (or emotional) bullying worse.

I think isolation is way worse than physical in my opinion. I could fight back against a physical bully but, there's nothing to fight when your ignored. You can't deal with it either because how could you punish people for ignoring someone.

This is me personally though. I like being around people and friends as opposed to someone who's antisocial who would probably say the opposite. I also feel pretty good on my fighting abilities so I wouldn't let someone push me around.

Personally I think alienation is the better of the two. At the very least the victim isn't being harmed but at the same time having no friends can be pretty difficult for some people. For me having no friends is normal so alienation wouldn't be much different than the norm other than baseless rumors. This is coming from somebody who hates all contact with most people so ya .

There are different forms of bullying whether it's Online or Offline they both have branches of types of bullying.

I tend to find the two worse type of Bullying is Alienation and Physical contact.
But under circumstances which would be worse?

Alienation is isolating people or a person in general from a group treating them differently from the others.

Physical Contact is abusing a person physically such as hurting them with intent.

Physical contact by far. "Alienation" is not a type of bullying. If you get "alienated" you deserve it.

When I was younger I'd say alienation is worse. I was not mentally put together at the time. Now that I am, I'd say physical is a lot worse.

They're both awful, and which is worse solely depends on a person's strengths. A weak mind is often easily broken. While I have gone through bullying in some sort of fashion, I'd want it to happen again. While it had been awful at the time, I had indeed gotten a much stronger frame of mind out of it. It's that make or break point that had made me change very drastically.
