So I managed to track down a copy of Gangsta episode 1 of a different website although not in the best quality. Loved it, Chaotic is right if it carries on in the same manner that the first episode did it'll be a great series.

@Muku: Ah fair one. The start of the episode where she is kind of recounting the events that led them to be trapped in the school made me think she might be alive but then hints in the episode later on made me doubt myselff again. I didn't notice about the car in the creadits, I'll have to keep a better eye out when I watch the next episode.

Yeah I like how the anime keeps you guessing and questioning what you think are the facts. Quite impressed, I really didn't expect this anime to be so deep in terms of plot when I started watching the first episode and it just seemd to be all like and bubbly moe kind of stuff.

Has anyone watched Parasyte the Maxim? Thats my most recent completed series.

Agreed, I would have thought that it would be such a complex story. Glad I gave it a try!

As for Parasyte, I have completed it too, it's great.

@ajpike14 If your able to watch the rest of the episodes that have already aired I can definitely tell you its great. Especially Nicolas cause hes a badass.

Also I love your avatar. I'm actually currently watching the dub of Cowboy Beboop and I have to say it definitely lives up to all the hype it has.

Yeah I've watched Parasyte and it was pretty good as well.

Yeah I like parasyte, at first I though the parasytes themselves looked a bit ridiculous, especially the one that is n the guys chin and I thought it would be one I would find a bit difficult to take seriously but It actually does a pretty good job and keeping it bleak and serious when it needs to. Love the opening theme song too, recon it's one of my new favourites. Has anyone read the manga? I've just checked out the front covers of a few and the art work gives me the impression that it might be kind of an old school one.

@Muku: Did I see that your watching that new Charlotte series, whats it like? I was tempted when checking out all the new shows but the description is really vague and I couldn't really figure out what sort of show I was letting myself in for?

@ChaoticJules: Yeah I'm going to try and search for a better version that has all onf them. It looks like an epic show so I really don't want to ruin it by watching in crappy quality and makes it hard to pick up the details of whats going on. Was really impressed that they have gotten the voice actor to speak in the manner of someone who is actually deaf so they have to subtitle him for both Japanese and English, though that was a really good, detailed touch to make.

Thanks man. I love Bebop, it was only like the second anime I ever saw and is still one of my favourites. Yeah the english Dub for bebop is one of the best I've ever heard. The actors do a great job of adding depth to the characters. My entire profile is bebop themed at the moment and I love it thatnks to the gfx artists over at Coeur.

@ajpike14

Yeah the Parasyte manga was actually made in the 1980's I believe which would make it around 30 years old old which is crazy. I think its good that MadHouse decided to make it into an anime after all these years I probably would have never heard of the series.

Speaking of MadHouse, Gangsta. gives me some Black Lagoon vibes. Y'know with the focus on criminals and their daily adventures and what not. Gotta say that Black Lagoon was a pretty amazing series!

Also Revy is pretty great!

@ChaoticJules:

Jesus that really is old. Yeah I'm impressed that a studio would pick up a manga for an anime conversion after such a big gap. You would have thought no one would have heard of the orgininal material and it would be difficult to generate a hype for it.

Ah mate I LOVED black lagoon. One of my favourite anime. It was dark, gritty, violent and awesome. Now that I think about it, it's probably got the best modern english dub that I've heard. One of the few that can try and compete with bebop in that regard. Especially how they didn't dial it down to make it more viewable for younger people or a bigger audience. When the characters wanted to swear or use slang they did and it made the show much better and more believable for it.

Also just checked out your profile. I approve of you anime list good sir.

✦Darker than Black✦
✦Nagi no Asakura✦
✦Strike the Blood✦
✦The Pet Girl of Sakurasou✦
✦Fate Zero✦
✦Attack on Titan✦
✦Angel Beats✦
✦Kuroko no basket✦
✦Black Bullet✦
✦From the new world✦
✦Nisekoi✦
✦Beck✦
✦My Little Monster✦
✦Noragami✦
✦Guilty Crown✦
✦Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom✦
✦Steins;Gate✦
✦Anohana✦
✦Princess Mononoke✦
✦Black Lagoon✦
✦Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso✦
✦My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU✦

All epic in their own right, and only don't agree on the others beacause I haven't seen them yet. Jormungand is okay if you like the real world, action/violence criminal type of thing.

I think that they described it vague on purpose, because otherwise you'd have alot of spoilers, but I can say that it has supernatural elements and sad moments. It give off this Angel Beats vibe, really.

No surprise there though, since it's done by the same studio and writer who did Angel Beats. That's actually why I started watching it in the first place. I'm personally loving it so far, you should check it out mate.

Haha the meme is amazing! I loved the dub of Black Lagoon too. I felt like they tried to put as many f*cks into every sentence possible.

Thats only all my favourites so far I've watched 282 series altogether. I have a lot of free time.

I'll be sure to check out Jormungand when I have the chance. Is it based in Japan or is it like Black Lagoon where most of the characters aren't Japanese.

Since we're on the topic of completed shows:
- I really want to shrink down that amount of plan to watch though.. UGH

Posted 7/27/15
@Muku: Hmm sounds interesting. Have to admit I have yet to see angel beats despite the fact everyone raves about it. Know it's one I need to check out. Might start with Charlotte as I can watch that one episode at a time, that way adding another show to my list won't be too much of a commitment. At the moment I seem to be watching a few episodes of a show and then finding another interesting one and moving onto that. My watching list keeps growing but I'm not getting round to finishing any of them. LOL.

Plan too watch 94, Jesus and I though my dozen or so book marked shows was bad!!

@ChaoticJules: Christ I'm such a newcomer compared to you and Muku. Don't think I've broken the 100 series barrier yet.

As for Jormungand, most of the characters are not Japanese. It's a whole mix. In a nut shell, the story is about a child soldier who through various circumstances ends up working of the bodyguard team for an illegal arms dealer. The series follows them travelling around the world to various warzones illegally trading in guns. Plenty of decent firefights and it's all very detailed and accurate on the weapon side of things. A distinct absence of profanity in comparison to the population of Roanapur though!!! Lol.

Haha like I said I have tons of free time which I spend watching anime.

Jormungand sounds really interesting so I'll be sure to check it out. I feel like it'll fill my action anime craving.

I see you've watch Garden of Sinners which I'm actually trying to finish right now. I'm currently on movie 3 and I have to say its been a really great experience so far. Plus it has yet another badass heroine which is also nice in Shiki

@Luke

Dude I have over 200 things in my plan to watch list which will probably take another 5 years to get me through all them at the pace I've been watching anime lately.

Oh that's too bad, but then again, you could still marathon Angel Beats all in one go. It only has 12/13 episodes I believe, but it does really have an impact on you. | lol that's a bad habit. I would never move on to another anime before finishing the one I'm watching at that moment.

This is why you probably have alot on-hold hehe.
// well those 94 plan to watch also include Anime that have yet to air from 2016.

200.. have you lost your mind? Well it's not like I'm one to talk, but I think that's a bit much haha. But I know how you feel. me too, I want to take my time with watching Anime. In my case, I can't just finish one, and immediatly move on to another one. I have to like.. let the Anime sink in for a while if you know what I mean. Especially with sad anime such as Your lie in April etc.
Posted 7/28/15
@ChaoticJules: I did have time to watch anime but now I've joined the groups I seem to spend more time on here talking about anime than I do watching the bloody things. lol.

Yeah give Jormungand a try, out of curiosity have you ever seen Gunslinger girls? I'm in need of an action fix myself and have heard about this one vaguely but not of anyone who's seen it and can give a first hand opinion of whether it's any good. All I know is that it is supposedly about the italian government taking girls who are orphaned at a young age and basically training and brainwashing them as they grow up to be killers that target people the government wants rid of. Young girls don't sem particlularly threatening so can easily get to their targets I guess.

Your the only other person I've met who has seen Sinners!!! It's a bit of an odd concept that they are anime movies but you have to watch all 7 like they were a series for it to make sense. It's pretty confusing too as the story isn't told in chronological order but it's awesome. I think it's probably one of the most beautifully animated things I've ever seen, it's incredible. Shiki's eyes alone when she is looking for the death lines are stunning. And yeah she's a total badass albeit in a different style to Revy or Balalaika.

@Muku: yeah I know man it's not good but now I've got crunchyroll there are just too many to chose from and new things keep popping up in front of my eyes. I'm like a dog that gets given a bucket of tennis balls, everytime I pick one up I send another one rolling and then immediatly want that one instead. LOL.

Only 13 huh, Yeah I could get that monstered in a single weekend and then I'd know what all the fuss is about I guess. Might have to give it a while if it's a deep and sad kind of one though, not really feeling that right now.

Your lie in April left such an impression!! It's not even my kind of thing I just choose it randomly because I was bored and I thought that classical music competitions would be a different and interesting premis to base a story on and it completley blew me away. Gonna be a while before another show rivals that one on the feels factor I think.

Yeah dude Your Lie In April really hit me hard. I knew it was gonna happened but when it did it still gave me all the feels. If you need another feels anime you should try Anohana if you havem't already or Golden Time.

@ajpike14
Unfortunetly I habe only heard about gun slinger girls but never watched any of it. I do know that it has two seasons in which the second season is a lot better than the first. Its cool that its set in Italy because Gangsta. is also set in a fictional italian town.

As for Sinners, yeah the art is amazing. Its a givrn because ufotable made it and they made Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: UBW. Both of which you should watch if you havent already. They are both action packed. I knew going into Sinners that the story wasnt in chronological order so the weird story telling didnt mess with my head to much.

Yes Shiki Ryouji eyes are extreamely beautiful.
