i see...intersting...thanks for the info......bout the wastegate...i don't really know any difference between an internal and external...any1 has info on how it works ?tried wiki but too complicated...

and bout the misfiring...is it limited to turbo charged ??what bout n/a ???it removes the turbo lag ??

Its pretty much limited to FI cars.. It does nothing on NA's as they dont see boost. It a sense it does remove turbo lag. Just think of it as a helper to keep the turbo spooled. NA's use 2 steps or 3steps(secondary rev limiter..etc) mostly for launch control and power shifting.

An internal waste gate is pretty much a flapper valve on the turbine housing that controls the power/boost levels of the turbo. An external is what it sounds like and external unit mounted not on the turbine housing but either on the exhaust manifold or o2 housing and performs the same function.. An external unit has its advantages as it controls boost much better as opposed to an internal which tends to blow open at lower boost levels and creep.

I love all forms of auto racing, but NASCAR is definately my favorite. Probably because I grew up watching it since 1992. Mainly cause there's never a dull moment when running 3-wide at over 180 mph.

An accident in that would be lethal, haha

Nope. Unlike in formula one and other weaker forms of racing, you can take a hit into a wall at 160 and walk away alright. It's way safer and definately easier to watch people have wrecks in. You know they're gonna walk away, you just hope that maybe there might be some fireworks between drivers afterwards.

Can't disagree, some people do watch it for that. But not here man. Thats the reason wanker haters and masicistic f-jobs watch. All they care about is carnage. Thats wrong on so many levels. You want carnage, watch ufc or wwe or something else thats fake. Racing is for real.

Formula 1... Weak... That is the first time I have ever heard anyone say that. Care to explain why it is weak?

Professional drift events are fun watch. I also enjoy watching the tricked/mod out cars too.

I respect the drivers, but NASCAR is just about one of the most boring things to watch. Yea, it takes skill, but watching it is pure boredom. Watching people drive around in a cricle 300+ times? And I live not too far from a racetrack. Anyways, I like watching the stuff with the tricked-out cars.

Does Touge count? I mean its not really a section of its own and if I had to say so I guess that WRC and Rallying would be the closest form of it. But then again I like all types of racing even the crazy two wheel stuff like MotoGP, WSB, BSB and the like. Motorcycle racing is just as interesting to me as auto racing is.
