I personally like the theatrical version. I say that because that's what everybody sees in the beginning and if im gonna be part of a movement I wanna see the original. If a studio wants to release the unrated version, just release both in a blu ray combo. usually unrated versions are bad extensions of movies that show unnecessary scenes. that's my thoughts on it

Theatrical all the way for me. Unless something was specifically heavily censored in the theater version, Unrated versions are useless to me.

Unrated tends to be a gimmick to show you stuff the ratings board wouldn't pass. Sometimes what's in the unrated version is only a few minutes, even less. A lot of the stuff in the unrated version doesn't advance the plot. True, we get the see the violence or sexual scenes that got cut, and I've seen stuff in the unrated versions that satisfied my curiosity. But its still something of a marketing tool.

It depends on the movie. If it includes "a whole 90 seconds of new unseen footage" I'm unimpressed but in the case of a movie adding in half an hour to multiple hours of new footage I'd go for the uncut/unedited every time.

It totally depends on the movie, though I tend to like Director's-cuts more than Unrated.
