So let me get this straight. This is a thread complaining about those who complain about minor things so here's my contribution. Why spend time bothering about this?

Not to complain. I'm simply curious what goes through these people heads when they make a scene. First one the guy calls himself a gaming journalist and in the article he states he didn't wait for Nintendo to get back with him when he questioned why is the hand a white womans hand. Yet he stills write the article and criticizes them without waiting for the answer. Only after intense criticism "see comments" did they issue a correction.

As for the second case the offended father could have simply walk pass the selves and if his kids asked why Leia was dressed that way assuming they know what star wars is in the first place. Did the father actually expect the company to pull the figures from all locations just because he found it offensive. If I had a daughter and she ask that question I would simply say it is from a movie before your time and if she ask could she dress that way I would simply smile and say when pigs fly.

Because their lives are miserable, and they want to bring misery to other people.

Kind of reminds me of how last weekend a woman in our neighborhood sent an anonymous letter through the mail to tell us our vehicles in our driveway very partially blocked the sidewalk and she was so mad that she wanted to kick the vehicle and threatened that if it happens again she'll vandalize them.

What a crazy bitch.

BUT BUT BUT I NEED THE FULL 24 INCHES!.

I like my neighbors. They don't bug me, I don't bug them, we don't have a sidewalk to bitch about, or lawns that upset them greatly.

I find it very fascinating. If you think about it, it's really a great world we live in where we can complain about things like this.

This person is probably just a troll x3

As for me, I don't get offended very easily, though I take just about everything to heart ;-;, usually it gets me hurt, but when I'm happy I'm REALLY happy, and I kinda like it that way ^~^

People are groomed to be overly sensitive these days. Both by society and our government structure. Heck, it's rewarded to be that way sometimes.

It is my opinion that people are like that usually because they don't have worldly experience. They don't truly understand the important things in life. The rich kid who grew up never knowing a day of hunger or the terror of lethal disease is annoyed that he's getting a black car instead of a white car. The Tumblr feminist doesn't understand what real suffering is and makes a fuss about sexism in a movie when all the male characters die horrible deaths. The badly-raised kid becomes a spoiled adult who must have everything exactly his way. The high schooler raising hell about how he needs to write an essay has no idea what someone his age puts up with daily on the opposite side of the globe.

I think it all comes down to having a real understanding of the horrors of this world. Once you realize that you're a walking piece of meat that won't be around for even an eyeblink of the history of existence, you start not getting so bothered by trivial things. Powerful experiences, often painful or sorrowful or otherwise difficult ones, can really set a person straight. Once you've seen death and suffering and have been through trying times, you no longer sweat the little stuff.

The problem is we've been obsessively sheltering ourselves from even seeing real-world pain and death that, collectively, we're beginning to forget about it. We all know how easily people forget things without constant reminders.

Yeah I mean the guy in the video was clearly overreacting to an article were a guy basically just said "its kinda weird to see a human hand thats supposed to represent your own having different features" More of an "aint that strange" than an "Im offended"

The point of the article was basically just reporting that the hand would be in the game and the author gave his opinion on how it felt to him to play the game with a hand that looked dissimilar to his own and wondered how it might feel weirder for people of different races. Then Mountian Man McAthiest gets all offended by it.

Grow up.

In my personal experience, it seems less that they are affected by the small things and more that many small things are adding up. kind of like how a balloon will pop if too much air is added.
