There are 4 major music Apps that people use to listen to music.

I mainly use Spotify to listen to my music.

What about you guys? Do you listen to music on either of these Apps, if not what app do you use?

Mostly Pandora, Zune and Youtube although I have problems with them all. Pandora does a really bad job at actually playing music similar to what you asked and playing music that is more obscure. They usually stick to the safe bands that everyone knows instead of exposing you to new music. last.fm used to handle this a lot better, but unfortunately they introduced a new player which seems to use the same music retrieval system but plays music from Youtube, so the quality is often terrible, I get videos that have been taken down, sometimes live music plays complete with shaky cam and terrible audio and sometimes the music is just simply mislabeled. Its just lazy.

I also use Youtube quite a bit, but again, it isn't great at exposing you to new music. You can listen to what you know you want to listen to but theres not much else. In a similar vein, I use the Zune player (so much better than iTunes) to listen to the music that I already have downloaded. I guess I can also listen to Bandcamp which hosts some music that I find myself listening to quite a bit and it is a great music store if you actually want your money going to the band.

Groove Music (formely Xbox Music).

Since I'm completely into the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox, OneDrive, etc), Groove is what best works to me. Specially the Windows 10 version, which is getting even better!

I use Amazon to listen to music if I haven't downloaded it already. If it's local on my machine then I'll use Media Player Classic (with CCCP) to listen with. I do not listen to music on my phone.

I use Poweramp on my phone, primarily. If I am looking for something new, I look at 8tracks playlists.

None of those other music players do it for me. iTunes is terrible. Pandora doesn't have much Japanese music (which is solidly at least half of my library), I haven't really tried Spotify, and Youtube.... Youtube isn't a music player. Youtube is a last resort.

YouTube and iTunes.

I don't purchase music from iTunes what so ever. I use it to store music I download online because it's rather convenient and has a clean GUI. And I have an iPhone so I kind of need it to backup my stuff.

YouTube is YouTube.

Pandora and YouTube. I have Amazon Prime, I really should try Prime Music
I don't like the playlist model though, I like the randomness of Pandora.
