Anyone else have issues with autoplay on apple TV? When I try to binge watch a series, the same episode plays again instead of moving on to the next one . Sometimes it works if I pause halfway through an episode and resume watching it the next day. This also happens on both my apple TV 2 and apple TV 3.

Crunchy roll tech support suggested I connect my apple TV to a custom DNS service, but this solution didn't make much sense to me. My guess after talking with apple tech support is that this has something to do with the code of the crunchy roll app itself (maybe an episode number variable isn't being incremented properly?). At least it works on netflix?

Edit: Hm, actually this seems to have been resolved by logging out of crunchyroll and logging back in again. Looks like the stickied post applies to the apple tv as well .

Ok, an update is that since logging out and logging back in again, the apple TV queue still isn't working actually. Just repeats the same episode over again usuallly.

Update2: Found an older post with more explanation. Essentially they are saying that some of the default DNS server's have corrupted entries for crunchyroll's video streaming service. This can be fixed by using an alternative DNS service like Google's. Here's a link to their public DNS site:

I'm going to try this and see if it works.

So yeah, that didn't work but it was worth a shot. I can still watch crunchyroll and everything, but I still need to manually select the next episode instead of relying on autoplay.

One year on Apple TV 4 this is still the case. Autoplay is not working properly. Typically it works for one episode and the episode will just repeat itself again.

I also have this issue. Super annoying. It'll autoplay one episode fine but after that it repeats the same episode.
