Has this been brought up before? It's come to mind several times but I usually disregard the thought and get to watching the shows I need to keep up with or want to watch. But when it popped into my head this time, I wanted to hear from the rest of you.

I use folders a lot. They're absolutely necessary both at work and at home to keep thousands of documents in order to access or reference on a regular basis. That got me thinking how useful folders in our queues would be. I have my queue organized alphabetically into four sections: current simulcasts/currently watching, shows I want to watch, and shows that I have watched, followed by shows that I want to watch that I need to organize. This works well for me, but it would be more handy (and require a lot less scrolling) if I had a folder for each of those categories. I currently have 351 shows in my queue (just went through with a clicker app on my phone), and that is a lot to keep track of.

So how do you organize your queue? Would you enjoy having folders in your queue? How many shows are in your queue? It might be a bit of a pain for site developers to enact, but I personally would love to see it. Or am I the only idiot that doesn't know this feature already exists and just hasn't noticed yet?

I have my queue organized by the order I'd watch things if everything was available at the same time. Then I have a chunk of out of season shows waiting to start again, then a section of bookmarks for stuff I've seen before, but want to leave in there for another run on a weekend or something, then I have the new shows from the current season who haven't warranted a bump to my actual list yet, then I have whatever I may be marathoning at the moment.

I don't really think folders are that important, I kinda feel like it's CR's way of making you clean out your queue every now and then >_>

I try to keep my queue as small and simple as possible. I only have the shows that I'm watching and shows that are "in line" for me to watch. After I finish a series, I take it off my queue. As for organization, the shows that I'm watching are at the top. Those are organized depending on the day episodes release. Everything else is just in line for me to watch later and in no particular order.

I think folders would be a nice addition. I don't see myself using them as I try to keep my queue as small as possible, but I'm sure a lot a people will find it useful.

I think about this pretty often, myself.

It'd be nice if they had something like the hummingbird set up.

I organize mine by just sticking the ones I'm currently watching at the top
&the rest is just jumble, 'cause I can't be bothered to properly organize it.

I keep my queue pretty small so it wouldn't matter to me. But I'm sure some of us have lots of shows in their queue so I could see how it would be useful. Especially those who don't marathon shows and watch episodes as they are released.

Does no one else keep the shows they have watched in their queue so they can easily revisit them later? When I am in that "I don't know what I want to watch," mood, I can scroll through my queue and find something that I've missed and want to see again.

I have 39 anime in my queue, and here's the order I organize my queue, from top to bottom:
Airing anime that I'm caught up on
Finished anime that I still need to finish
Finished anime that are more likely to get another season
Finished anime that are less likely to get another season
Random anime that I have just put on my queue and haven't bothered to actually organize

And that's pretty much it.

I have 14 shows in my queue. All of which I haven't finished watching nor started yet. But honestly, I really do not organize my queue. I will scroll down with my mouse anyway, so it really doesn't matter what's first or last.

Mines not that bad, just the simulcasts and the one or two shows im currently watching

I just write the anime that I want to watch down in a notebook, and the finished ones go to the anime list on ANN

I usually have my catalog titles at the top of my queue. In the middle, is where my simulcasts are, which is organized by day and time of it's release.. Starting at Sunday, and ending on Saturday. At the bottom, are where my J/K Dramas are located.

Anything I'm currently watching at the top

Below that is anything I plan to watch but haven't started

Below that is anything I ever want to have on queue if I ever want to rewatch it.

Anything currently airing is at the top

Below that are shows I've started and have to finish or shows I need to start

Below that is something I've finished but kept based on the chance of rewatching or another season.

There are one hundred thirteen shows in my queue.... I'm sure that's at least one third of the shows on this website. Oh and six seven of those I've finished.

I keep shows I plan to watch in the front and then ongoing shows or ones I am watching at the end of my queue. I'm thinking of organizing them from Sunday to Saturday though. And I have around 80 shows in my queue
