On my phone only some of the animes show up, but on the computer a whole lot more do...is something wrong with the app?

Well what anime CR has depends on the location. So does your computer and phone have a different location set or something?

I notice something similar with my phone and the console app; I'm missing things like The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, among others. I don't really know what it's for, but I assume it's a good reason. Doesn't matter to me personally since I always watch anime on the big screen.

My suggestion is to just save the anime that aren't on the mobile app for when you have access to a computer or something.

Check the maturity settings in the video settings. Some of the platforms we have apps on have stricter rules regarding mature content and require it to be enabled separately.

It needs to be set here on the site. It also affects some of teh big-screen apps, such as the PS3 (and PS4/Vita I assume).

Unfortunately, it seems that the same rules that require the filter being in place are why there isn't an option in-app to toggle it on and off. This has the unfortunate side-effect of appearing to be a fault with the app when, in reality, it is a design requirement CR can't do anything about.

Of course, your Sonys and Apples are more worried about young (and not-so-young) people seeing blood and boobies than they are in making sure that software actually works as expected. And, regardless of what they think, having ones queue differ from platform to platform looks like a bug even when it isn't. But they get to protect their reputations whilst making CR seem, unfairly, like their apps are buggy.
