The theme/op/ed/BGM from that certain anime series/ova that when u heard it,even tho its a bit childish/really weird, stops everything else that u been busy with, and make u daydream back to that time........
for me its-

Mojacko ED
the time where the place i go to when i finish schoolday[elementary] is a VHS Store, why? so i can rent mojacko!

Creamy mami OP
this is the 1 i m most fond of,that opening have been in my mind since i m 5,i watched this growing up.until i finished kindergarten.i heard this recently in one of the anime shop around my house, and i stood there, watching the vids ,so into it without noticing that other customer is giving me weird looks and laughing away.only notice it after the op sequence ended....

God Mars BGM
about the same time i rent mojacko,i also rent this, its a cantonese dub version, and because of that i will remember what the main protagonist said in the last episode forever, with this song, playing in the background its embedded in my brain.

so, what's your Nostalgic Anime Theme/op/ed and the story behind it ,i just love to read, not that i am a busy body/privacy invader.

The english version of Smile Bomb from the Yu Yu Hakusho dub that used to run back on adult swim at like 5 am xD.

This is one of the only songs I prefer in its dubbed language, I dont know why but it always makes me sing along no matter when I hear it.

The first opening to Bleach always makes me really nostalgic, because it reminds me of a time when I would go to school, or stay home as was more often the case for me.

The opening from Yu Yu Hakusho does the same thing, actually.

Inuyasha ED: Do As Infinity - Fukai Mori (wasn't allowed to watch violent stuff or stay up late as a kid, but my friend let me borrow her Inuyasha dvd and I just played it over and over before I had to give it back and this was the ending.)

Naruto OP: Asian Kung-Fu Generation - Haruka Kanata (first Japanese song/Anime OP I learned the lyrics to, plus the nostalgia of watching dubbed Naruto)

Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds ED: Alice Nine - Cross Game (Never finished the anime but the song got me into J-Rock)

I find anime openings from Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass, and anything else I watched when I was just a casual fan, nostalgic. Pokemon, Speed Racer, Sailor Moon dub openings, etc too.

Also, although it was only last year, Barakamon's OP and ED. The music and anime was just so heartwarming, I was moved to tears. Never happened before.

Super Beaver - Rashisa

NoisyCell - Innocence

Tooi kono Machi de - Card Captor Sakura movie ed

agony - Kotoko - Kannazuki no Miko

Garasu no Hana - BGM - Minami Kubota - Kannazuki no Miko - I don't know if I should cry hearing this song

Yuzurenai Negai - Rayearth - it reminds me how I printed the romanji Lyrics and memorized the song. Also reminded me of the Tagalog/English dub.

Japanese version

Filipino/Tagalog version

English version

Tobira o Akete - CCSakura - the song reminds me how I loved CCSakura even though I don't understand Japanese at all. I watched it on BS1 or BS2, which a channel bundled in our cable subscriber... that's like 2001. ^_^;;
