Had them before, I tend to pick up on the warning signals now so I can try to take care of myself. Sometimes I faint but thankfully it is less often then when I was 10-19. Had to quit the medical marijuana as it got me so anxious it would trigger panic attacks. It's a shame too because it really helped me to sleep.

panic attacks suck. I got them quite a bit when I was in high school, the worst 2 attacks landed me in the ER. first one was when there was this huge incident that happened at a football game, it triggered and my parents drove me to the ER because I had trouble breathing. 2nd time I called my mom and told her I was having major chest pains when I breathed, she took me to the local base clinic and they put me in their little ER room on oxygen. I didn't know I was having panic attacks until my doctor sat me down and explained to me. sadly my attacks were triggered due to intense pressure (parents comparing to my sister who was attending a prestigious military academy at the time and that I was worthless if I didn't follow in her footsteps). I was put on bed rest for a few days.

people think that panic attacks are for people that are weak, it makes me so mad when they say it's because we can't handle situations. sometimes I had panic attacks from just cleaning >.< but I'm better now, I just stopped caring about a lot of things and what everyone thinks. I just worry about what I need to get done and that's that

Sorry to hear about your experiences. People don't understand that everyone is wired differently and there are often a lot of different medical conditions that cause them as well. It's never been a matter of being weak. It takes strength to handle your issues, problems and obstacles the best way you can. Whatever they may be. People who have never experienced a loss of control on their own actions or mind have a hard time understanding such problems. To them it's just a matter of stopping. They don't get when we are unable to do so, espicially in the midst of it.

I had them before, but it's the horrible anxiety that gets to me the most, there's time I don't want to eat for days.

I had one because I was really scared of a science test. I had to leave my math class early, and I have to take a test on the guidance counselor's office. After the test, I isolated myself for the rest of the day.

Yes, most definitely and almost on a daily basis! I take medication to control my depression and anxiety, and I have to calm myself down by focusing on something else when I start to have an anxiety/panic attack.

When one occurs, I usually start having an aura migraine, my chest tightens, my breathing becomes short, and I sometimes faint if I don't sit down.

They get very bad sometimes lmao...

Same with me! I can't touch marijuana because it makes me WAY too anxious. Drinking sometimes triggers those effects for me too.

I get both anxiety & panic attacks. (Double the delights)
It sucks. Especially if I ever happen to get one in the middle of class or something.
I take medication for it, so at least its not something that would happen frequently. (Nowadays I say I probably have 1 ever month or 2).
Bad anxiety was always like, a family trait from my fathers side I guess. Since he had them as well.

That's weird.
I heard Marijanna usually helps with panic/anxiety attacks. My dad took medical marijuana for it.

Yes I had them a lot through High school.

I had a really bad one my Senior year and almost dropped out as a result. I ended up being home schooled the last half of the year and got my diploma though.

Oh yeah. I had a panic attack during a group presentation last semester. It was so bad, I actually passed out in front of the whole class.

Honestly, I need to go to a doctor about my anxiety problems...but I don't have health insurance.

Yeah I have them, think I have agoraphobia, claustrophobia, and social anxiety. So I get em often however I just bite the bullet like with everything else.

They went away after I meditated everyday for a year. I was totes fine and only got panic attacks once or twice a year. Then my dad died and all that went to shit and I have them much more frequently. However have been getting much better recently.

Feels like you trapped in a room with no doors. It's different for everyone but I feel like running, so I kinda do, hop around and try to shake off the tingling feeling in your hands.

Kinda sucks when you're in public and you don't wanna show you're freaking out so you have to keep calm and composed. Freaking out in front of people causes more panic, making a domino effect, lol.

Yes. I have a history of anxiety and depression. The worst panic attacks I've had are ones that make me feel like I'm having a stroke. Half my body Goes numb. I can't move. I have an ice pick headache. I stop breathing. My heart races. I am thinking that the worst will happen to me. This lasts for 5 minutes and then I eventually calm down.

I haven't had a big panic attack in a while thanks to the new meds I was put on (citalopram). The meds help my depression too so I've been feeling great lately. Before this, my old meds (zoloft) stopped working and I became extremely sensitive to its side effects. I am grateful to my psychiatrist for finding a med that works well for me. I hope that others with anxiety can find the solace that I have.
