I used to have panic attacks when I was younger, but then I just stopped having them. No idea what happened, but it's nice to not have them anymore. I think it must have been the medication that I was on at the time.

Could be the strain, could be my ocd. I honestly don't know to be honest. Granted the thought that they give LSD to people like me is terrifying.

Yes. Only once.

I was enrolled in a climate studies class and the first week was nice and easy and straightforward. Then, on week 2, my textbook arrived and I went to class with it only to discover pages and pages of formulas and numbers. I had no idea this was a math class. I ABSOLUTELY DETEST MATH and can sit for 3-4 hours staring at a page of formulas but come away with nothing at all. And, on top of it all, the professor assumed that we all took physics but I did not. I have no idea how I was allowed to enroll.

That night, I sat up late trying to figure out how to do the homework and had a panic attack at around midnight. I assume it was a panic attack. I was trembling and couldn't breathe properly. I was unable to control myself as I paced about the room and muttered random things to myself. It was the first time in my life that I lost control that way. It was a bit scary to feel that way. My roomie noticed me doing that and I told her the whole story.

She suggested I drop the class, which was an obvious thing to do. In my panic, I did not even think of doing that. Even though I intended to fill out the form the next day and drop right away, I kept thinking of "what-ifs." What if they don't let me drop? What if this and that? I couldn't sleep and I couldn't calm down. My roomie gave me some vodka and I took it with me to the bathroom, where I filled the tub with hot water and proceeded to take a long bath. I ended up falling asleep drunk in the tub some time around 3 in the morning. I managed to drop the course successfully.

Yeah, once. I smoked a ton of weed, I don't smoke much in general, and had to drive home after work. I thought the cops were chasing after me and thus began my weed induced panic attack. I thought my heart was going to implode on itself as the beat seemed to accelerate. My ears were ringing the whole time and I broke out into a cold sweat while I drove. It wasn't fun whatsoever but it was definitely an experience. The lesson learned is that if you're going to smoke...at least do it in a relaxing environment. Smoking is bad in general so don't do it!

Sadly, yes. I have anxiety problems. But I know the difference between anxiety and panic attacks. I know what it's like to have it and only gotten a couple of times in my life. Which I am very thankful for.

Only once it was when i was driving on the highway

i think it happened do to the stress of experiencing my first allergic reaction and this is how it went down.

so its the middle of the night and i wake up not being able to breath my throat is closing on me and i literally cant grab air. i feel like im about to faint and im in my room to top it off so nobody will find me and to make matters worse all my siblings are heavy sleepers so if i were to go to them im screwed they will never wake up damn it.T^T lol so i make my way down to the living room and luckily my parents where awake and wanted to take me to the hospital but im like nah nah i got this. even when i can barely breath. some how i keep wanting to zone out my body felt like a noodle. but i manage not to ,i think i was like that for 7 hours i mentally fought the allergic reaction with my mind .some mind power i have.lol

after wards i was a bit tired but i got a hold down on myself. but i think i became a bit paranoid for a while on eating and drinking because certain food that i loved sometimes would act up the feeling i had when i got the allergic reaction, which was strange since the foods that i liked had never done that and that began to annoyed me. i think that, that started giving me stress and anxiety for the first time, thinking if this might be permanent.

And then it got real, when i started driving on the highway the panic attack hit hard i couldn't breath my throat closed and my hands started shaking, my heart was racing,to the point it hurt, i was getting dizzy anxiety hit on full throttle. anyway luckily nothing bad happened because i kept fighting it off with mental strength i kept telling my self "its nothing u got this","i,m the one controlling my body" that "Breathing was involuntary it just happens as well as swallowing so i will automatically breath even though i feel i cant ". i literally was fighting it off while driving my body wanted to let go of the wheel and focus on my self but my mind was holding my hands in place as hard as it could to keep my self steady and focused. it felt like forever but i bet it was less than 10 minutes i got it down and was able to get off the highway and take a breather.

anyway that was my first ever panic attack and anxiety feeling i have ever had. and it will stay that way never want to experience anxiety again . its like the most dramatic person that u will ever know trying to start crap. and u having to sit their and listen to it all hoping ur still sane when they finally finish their rant on trying to convert u to their dramatic way of thinking.
