Agh, my anxiety can't take this. I was really hoping that my professor would post grades before class today. I just like having a heads up on what I got before I receive it in class. Literally. I might cry. It doesn't matter if I got a 100% or a 0% on an exam. I just kinda freak, especially if I did poorly. Like if I did poorly, I can't concentrate on the review of the exam (if they give it) or the next lesson. Same if I did excellent, because I'm all "WOOOOOOO I DID WELL!!!!" and then I miss like most of the lecture.
That, and there's literally 7 people in that class. And they already have the notion that I'm a smart ass brat because I go to a private college and I'm taking a summer course at a former community college (they changed to a state college this year). I hate preconceived notions.
For this exam, it's one of those....I either did really well, or really bad. I hate exams where there's more than one correct answer and it's all "choose the BEST answer".....And it was SUPER specific.......Did I mention that this is an HR class that I'm taking as an elective and need it to graduate next semester and I only have a midterm and a final for grades........Anxiety to the max. I can't even take it next semester because I'll be taking 21 credit hours, an internship, and a part time job....and my mom's in the hospital. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. EEK.

Sorry this was mostly an anxiety freak out rant.... But I was wondering, does anyone else get this kind of anxiety where they rather know their grade before they get into class and the professor returns the exams?

I used to be like that. Then I decided that regardless of whether or not I stress myself out about it, my grade is going to be the same. So it's just best to try not to worry about it. I know, easier said than done. lol

I go through the same crap.. My grades don't come in until mid-week
and it drives me nuts.

Also, if I get a C or an F I flip out.

I had a shiny 4.0 GPA until the last few classes -_-

I have an 84 in English Comp II right now

Totally. Easier said than done. >.< I'm still working on it. Thankfully I graduate in December and won't have to take an exam ever again (hopefully). The concept of grades just really freak me out.

And I'm just gonna say Thank god Hallelujah because my professor just emailed me my grade. I got an 86 on the midterm which is awesome. And now I'm a little suspicious that he's on CR hahahahaha

You and me both. I grew up thinking a 3.8 GPA was complete crap. And some of my friends are like whooooooo 2.5! 0.o
Good luck on you English class, I hate subjective classes like that because your grade between an A and a B depends on how much your professor likes your paper. Mine used to give me 89s just so I had to do the rewrites in order to have an A in the class....and it was "try rewording and shift things around for fun"....not any constructive criticism.

GOOD LUCK MAN.

No really. I got a G in English Literature. Yes, there is worse than an F in England. The best grades I got in my GCSEs (bar ICT which I'm not counting due to the different marking system), was a B in maths, and another in science. I don't even know how I got those. I basically only remember, adding, subtraction, dividing, and multiplication these days. It has been over five years now though. Everything else was a D or lower.

I got C's and D's in school, I graduated college with a 3.89

Personal choice in subject matter makes all the difference.

Everyone in my class would refresh the page non-stop right before grades were due. Sometimes professors took longer to submit grades...luckily there were always a couple of people who would immediately email the profs and get on their asses about not submitting grades on time.

But yeah, grades suck and especially if you're in a subjective field of study. In architecture, unless you're in grad school where they don't grade you, everyone learns to not care about grades after the first term just because it's so subjective.

Lol, some professors get a kick out of that shit I bet.

I never worried about it back when I was in school. Always had a 4.0.
