I posted this in a new thread, but it appears to affect all android TV devices (including the Logitech Revue), not just Smart TVs.

Technical correction: Google TV devices. Android TV is newer, and CR has yet to release a dedicated Android TV app.

The apps that support was dropped for were the smart TV apps, Google TV, and OUYA.

I did everything and I get "This channel is not responding." u_u

If you check around the "Help!" section, you'll find a number of posts recently reporting app connection problems on various devices (not just those that support was dropped for). This should be resolved shortly, so I suggest trying again.

I don't watch TV so I wasn't going to get one. I just had no need for one and money was a bit tight.
But my fiance really wanted one, so I reasoned that if I'm spending a load on a TV, it had better have features that I'm going to make use of. In the end I spent extra to get a smart TV, in order watch crunchyroll. This was just 9 months ago, and now this TV is completely useless to me. What a waste of money. I'm very disappointed by this news.

The ONE thing I checked before I picked out my smart TV was if I could get the CR app and everything was fine for years... now this!! This is no way to treat loyal PAYING customers!! Thanks a lot Crunchyroll!!

So do I have to go buy one of those Roku boxes now? Will it even be compatible with my Samsung smart tv? How do I get my CR app back on my TV.. help, anyone?

The Roku is compatible with any HDTV with an HDMI port.

Recently CR has gone the way of Corporate America.. They no longer care about your input as a consumer its all about staying green and if they have to remove a head to keep the Cooperate blood flowing they have no qualms in doing so.. gone are the day when this site actually made me feel like i was supporting Manga artist and animators.... SMH!!!

Just a little FYI, the Roku stick is setup to use a USB port in the TV for power. Though I'm gonna assume the other poster meant HDMI instead of USB.

Anyway, I really miss the Samsung app. I don't have the greatest internet connection, but the TV app handled what I have quite well (at least DVD quality) and it was consistent. The Roku on the other hand, seems hit and miss. Some shows look just fine and others look like a hot mess (I'm talking poor fansub quality). It's soooooo distracting. I'm having a hard time watching stuff now because of it.

Like the Chromecast, it comes with an AC adapter, so USB is not required on the TV. It is simply a convenience if it has a USB port that provides adequate power.

sadly, you may be right. I have been on here for around 10 years and I do miss the innocence. I stay preiun (=now) to support free access and open sharing. I just don't feel like I am helping others any more. oh well there is syill netflx and crackle on my TV. crunchyroll may find that they drop throught the crackes if they are not carefull, and that will be sad also
