Child raised by tumblr.

I can't even.. I would beat my brother and sister senseless if they acted like that.
I do have to say, the 2000's generation seems to be more materialistic than us
90s kids. Everyone has to have the new iPhones, everyone has to have
Coach, everyone has to have Beats Headphones. I'm just sitting here like...

If I had been like that, I would've gotten my face beat in.

Hand-me-downs and Goodwill is all I gotta say.

I'm done.

Makes you want to take slow deep breathes doesn't it?

"I will not rampage today, I will not rampage today"

I went to counseling today, now I need another session

Thanks, that made me laugh.

Fortunately I turned 20 last week.
I don't have to deal with teenager stuff anymore.

I would like to say its the parents fault but it probably isn't x3

I guess people who haven't dealt with serious problems, not saying that I have, are a little overdramatic and end up doing things they believe "cool" people do on the internet, its less an age thing and more a experience and attitude thing.

It's like a different kind of Chunibyo I think, instead of being a 3000 year old vampire, you are a bisexual that can't touch the same gender as you!

We get called edgy because we're teens, we're all bottled-up presure cookers of angst to most older people, some of its projection that if they went through a hormonal maelstrom of angst and chaos we are , must be, too. Sadly its somewhat the case but everyone handles it differently ofc.

While adults don't always have there s*** together, every person you meet knows something that you don't, so instead of seeing an adult as an enemy think of the as either a pawn in your game to get farther than them by the time your an adult or simply a person to teach you the rules of the game

I would say it's mainly because of all the movies around like Twilight and such where it's cool to be "edgy" and "dark", then you get a lot of younger teenagers who pick up on it and are like, "Oh, in the movie it was cool, if I do it i'll be cool?"
At least, that's what it was with me when I was 12-14 ish. Also, a lot of times mental illness is portrayed in a dark/edgy way (superwholock i'm looking at you), so you get a lot of people saying "omg lol i'm such a psychopath!!! I have DID and bipolar disorder i'm such a weirdo lol haha xD" or, in cases where they watch Sherlock, "i'm a highly functioning sociopath"

Pfff, teenagers

On a serious note... If that's what's considered edgy (I'm guessing you kids relate that to cool in some way?) then I feel sorry for this generation.
