I just wanna start off by saying, sorry for my really cheesy thread, I haven't fan-boyed over something this hard since I was really into anime in high school

Soooooo the movie officially released a couple of days ago and I was FINALLY able to watch it, I was looking forward to it for months!
Naruto being the first anime I watched (in Japanese and thus moving into the anime world) and having grown up with it for the past 11 years, saying I am a fan is an understatement

Getting back to the movie, I also grew up really liking the Naruto - Hinata pairing, so a movie like this was suuuuuuper satisfying for me. It was really great to get the origin, or more the point in time, of how they became a couple and I think they did an amazing job with this movie.
They kept the whole idea of how Naruto and Hinata both rely on each other, relying both on their strength and helping one another. They didn't just make Hinata the typical damsel in distress like they do with most female characters in any show but successfully portray that she is strong in her own way. We also see that Naruto isn't completely invincible and that he does have his weaknesses, so in the two scenes in which they hold hands, we see they are both stronger together than just alone.
This movie was just amazing! (in my opinion) and if they made it, I would watch a show that was directly dedicated to their lives haha

but anyways those are my thoughts, what did you guys think?

NaruHina, we made it :D

P.S. I don't like Naruto's buzzed hair, why didn't he just grow it out like his dad?
P.P.S. They should have stuck with Bolt! Who decided on Boruto!?

Once again, sorry for the cheesy thread lol

I didn't like he's haircut either, however, the movie was amazing! I love Naruto and Hinata pairing. What's funny Sakura came close taking that spot of being with Naruto until the people that worked with Kishimoto said no! XD I really don't like Sakura and Sasuke together, that's my opinion, though. It's just that the pairing is really an unhealthy romantic couple. I would rather see sakura with someone else since she actually did growed up, so did Sasuke later on, but all the things that happen didn't make sense. I don't blame Sarada and what she said about her parents. That last part was a spoiler. lmao I'm not against sasukexsakura fans but I just don't like the pairing at all. lol Everything else was satisfying with NarutoxHinata. If Kishimoto had made what if's manga's then that will make a lot of money and interesting aside from the main storyline. I love the manga/anime Naruto since 05'.I'm happy that it got far with a good ending because Kishimoto said so himself that he didn't expect it to go any further.

I thought that it was mediocre.

The plot of the movie was really borrowed from millions of series / movies before it. It was Final Fantasy X, it was Love Hina, it was very generic.
The only part of the movie I really enjoyed was the beginning with all the Naruto fangirls yelling "NARUTO-SENPAI!!!" I thought that was hilarious. The black wedding dress to symbolize an unholy union was another overused trope. They really could have been more creative going about doing this.

Also while I initially did ship Naruto and Hinata, this movie pushed that concept so far in the most cliche ways that I actually became bored with it. It made me think that a Naruto and Sakura pairing would have been much more interesting and that Hinata was actually an unnecessary character in the series as a whole. She was primarily written as a plot device to show that even from a young age Naruto wasn't completely useless, that was her entire purpose. They could have come up with something better to portray that. Or actually, Naruto and Sasuke if they were the opposite sex (I have nothing against homosexuality, but it becomes an entirely different type of story when it's introduced).

I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but this was a dime a dozen anime movie. As far as romances go, I enjoyed Ed and Winry in FMA much better, as far as romance movies go, Tamako Love Story left me feeling much happier.

Still it wasn't terrible, I'll give it a 6/10.

There was enough for fans to work with I think, and some nice Naruto/Hinata moments.

Honestly I was prepared to not like it as much as I did, still too fond of the whole thing to pick at it too earnestly.

I was never sold on the idea that after the war where she supported him and stood by him coupled with when she stood up to Pain and confessed her love that he would somehow not get the idea. Also had to take away points for the idea of yet another "eye power", we've had way more then enough of that already. More points lost to Naruto getting stuck in a Genjutsu, did they forget that he can't get stuck in them anymore since Kurama is there to wake him up? Also disappointed that for the last scene they were sharing chakra instead of Naruto supporting her by giving her chakra in order to break the eye with her own hands. Also something in me really wanted Naruto to be like "I beat Kaguya, what makes you think you'll be any different?"

All that aside though, the movie did have some portions that I really loved. Hinata pacing back and forth debating on giving him the gift was done great, all the ladies swarming Naruto was fun and thankfully not over done. There were more but I can't think of them atm XD

I didn't think the balance of romance to action was great. I know the movie is canon but the backstory of the villain made me feel like it was several filler episodes all spliced together. Considering what I paid for it I didn't think it was worth my money. So I'm not going to see another in theaters anytime soon.

The romance to action was unbalanced, the pacing was a utter trainwreck at times, and the whole moon doomsday plot that no one cared about and was entirely uneeded, the cliched and slightly forced romance with Naruto and Hinata. I could go on about the movies problems. Dear god, don't get me started about how awful a villian Toneri was. Also it was never explained how THEY FOUGHT ON THE MOON WITHOUT OXYGEN AND DEFYED THE MOON'S GRAVITY. HOW DID THEY GET THERE TO BEGIN WITH

Yet for some reason, I saw this a second time in theaters and will totally buy it on Blu-ray. It was just a ton of fun and there were enough scenes I liked to make it worthwhile and the action was pretty good. I think if your a longtime fan like me (eleven years!) the movie is worth a watch and you'll probably have a good time like I did.

P.S. I dunno if it's agianst the rules to overuse caps. I'll edit if it is.

I have tried to watch it several times but just find myself wanting to skip ahead to the fight scene and the ending because all the drama just doesn't interest me.

Haha too true, there were definitely several plot holes and questions to be answered. I still don't understand how they got to the moon. And how do Ninjas have all this technology like a cannon that can blow up the moon!? but lack other forms of technology??
Also how are you going to beat Kaguya, the ultimate enemy, but struggle against Toneri? lol

I feel its a movie that is targeted towards the Naruto-Hinata fans, the actions and toneri/moon plot was all secondary

Would watch again/10 but I don't want to deal with those feels again too

I haven't seen it yet, but I couldn't feel like crazy exited about the idea that Naruto will continue after Shippuden.

Don't get me wrong, I'm exited but not crazy exited.
