Any London-Olympics-travesty joke-meme that doesn't mention Russell Brand, is faking it.

The upside, of course, is that we already have our Tokyo '20 Olympics mascot announced:

Assuming that's the case, and further seeing as how I am not a Japanese taxpayer, I will defer to Nelson Muntz's great oration:

The Tokyo one looks pretty hideous, I was expecting better.

Still better than the London travesty though - if you tilt your head a certain way, it looks like a certain Nazi symbol. And hopefully Japan's opening ceremonies will be better than the horror that was London's...good lord.

Oh well, if Tokyo doesn't want it, I suppose Germany's up for it...

HEY GUYS, REMEMBER THE LAST TWO TIMES GERMANY HOSTED THE OLYMPICS.

AND THE SEQUEL IN '72

Come on dude give Germany a break at least they apologize for it.

80% of Tokyo citizens are opposed to the Olympics, more specifically the multi-billion dollar stadium that was designed, scratched, and now being re-designed. Olympic village is being moved outside Tokyo, and that means the athletes will have to travel farther. The oppositional lawmakers are against it, members of the Diet are against it.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the next few months a new place is chosen for the 2020 Olympics. It's not going to work in Tokyo. These things combined with the revelation that there has been major corruption in picking the locations make it seem like this is a disaster. It really is.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Thanks.

Sounds like business as usual to me. The Olympics aren't leaving Japan. If both the Russian and Brazilian travesty were acceptable then I'm sure Japan will be a success.

EDIT: Brazil was the world cup but my point still stands.
