Why didn't I order the smoked BBQ bacon burger instead of the pepperjack cheeseburger when I had the chance?

lol

Music keeps me awake and calms my nerves for long drives and I don't even turn it up very loud. It is very easy to me to drive solo for 7 hours. The car is minimally burdened and easy to control. It gets harder with nagging passengers telling me what to do and no auditory stimulation so that I fall asleep.

I hate driving long distances when I have passengers, especially backseat drivers. I get angry and an accident is more likely.

My family thinks it is apparently realistic for a person to stare unwaveringly and in silence at the road in front of them with the intense focus of a kung fu master for 7 hours. Please. I can't even do that when playing a challenging computer game, much less when I'm not having fun and getting told what to do every 10 seconds.

Pretty much. In my last 8 years of driving, I've only gotten one ticket and I've never been in an accident. My family has a much worse record and they still complain about my driving and that one ticket. I don't say anything about their records.

I don't even know why I'm bothered anymore. I'm usually pretty patient. But this is the very same family that blamed the theft of the items in my car ON ME even though it was someone else in my family who drove out without my permission and didn't lock the door. Go figure.

Their logic was that I'm supposed to take everything into the house whenever I come home, even though they don't do that themselves, so the theft was entirely my fault. Yeah, I might as well take the GPS, the spare tire in the back, the mouthwash, the registration card, the sound system, the hubcaps, and the parking brake lever in as well. Some things are such nonsense that they make you angry, and I suppose it just gets worse when you've been listening to the same lectures for 20 years. You just want them to shut up. Who the hell steals textbooks? Is that even predictable when you're at home and nowhere near your college?

OMG you should take local and drive 50 if you have to get on the freeway. Who cares if other drivers have to change lanes to pass you.
You have to get an oil change every 3 months or else you will die. You've been due for a week and we'll just ignore the fact you barely drive 20 minutes a day on average.
Driving at night is highly dangerous! Drunken drivers will surely hit you. Being stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic in the sweltering afternoon heat is safer and better even though we know about your sunlight allergy.
It's raining, so you should go 20 MPH on that 40 MPH road.
