Keroro Gunso is definitely the first thing I remember obsessing over anime-wise.

Posted many times before, I enjoyed anime back in the days when it was heavily americanized. It was just another saturday morning cartoon.

The specific moment that anime became actually on its own for my tastes was a time before many on this forum were born. I was at a video rental store... yes.. before internet was common and video download impossible. Streaming, laugh...

Anyways. This was a specialty place, not a name one. They had foreign films. Well, they had set up a small shelf of "cartoons" Oh, this is anime? I browsed through the VHS cassettes. Back then, not much was here. Had violent, perverted, none of the mainstream stuff was really able to be got in original format. Going through and reading, seeing I hadn't had anything catch my interest. I do believe you can judge a book by it's cover somewhat. The creators use said cover to project an intent image (or to sucker you in)

Well, I saw a greyish box that had a red, hand drawn style for the title name. And the picture was a guy with red jacket (that had a pill on the back) and red pants walking towards a futuristic red motorcycle....

The rest is history.

Fairy Tail! It all started with me stumbling upon an ost on youtube named "happy's theme" Too bad that I've put the series on hold because of it's length, but one of these days I'll pick it up again.
