Yes. His depression drained a lot of energy out of me. I felt like I was drowning. I had to end it. He said I didn't give him a chance- I tried giving him a chance for 6 months. He need professional help and it's not something I could give him and he hated me for it.

Kind of it was short though.

Honestly i'm attracted to people that have mental illness due to the comfort i get from it (I have Aspergers and OCD)

I feel most comfortable around those who are depressed or bipolar etc so to me i find those types of people attractive.

So i haven't really had a relationship with someone like that for long but i will in the near future i can tell.

Mental illness is not that bad we break down and have meltdowns etc and our moods are quite out there i go from happy to sad in an hour sometimes.

It's easy to deal with if you know how to deal with it.

With the dependent on the other thing it really just depends on the kind of person someone like me for example loves it when people depend on them and rely on them it's only a bad thing if it becomes a problem and bothers people.

Yes. Rather than bore you with those experiences just go back 2-3 years and read some of my posts. Almost married an M-D for love but cancelled 5 days before wedding. Looking back that was a close call. I do hope she has found some modicum of help for her lifetime of mental anguish (though I sincerely doubt that she has).

Yeah. In high school I went with a guy who had schizophrenia. I didn't know he had a mental illness until after we broke up. It kinda explained some things but I chose not to go back.
