The last month of summer is here (in 3 days ) and I'm curious. What have you done every summer? There can be a couple exceptions but let's say you've done it every summer for at least 2 to 3+ years. So what's something you've done every summer? I've almost always gone on a saltwater fishing trip with my dad. We drive out to my grandparent's house in California and go fishing, generally at Dana Wharf for a 3/4 day trip. I love doing it . Don't remember when we first started but 1 or 2 years ago we went on our first trip that actually had fish bite for me. There were 2 other guys (that weren't my dad) next to me and they weren't getting any bites and here I was getting around 13 hooks . Needless to say I enjoyed that trip a bit more than the last . This summer we couldn't get a 3/4 day trip at Dana Wharf so instead we're going to Marina Del Rey for a 3/4 day one and both of my brothers are joining this time ! Dana Wharf had Bass mostly on their 3/4 day trips but apparently at Marina Del Rey it's all rockfish. I mean look at this nonsense! http://www.worldwidefishing.com/salt/UnitedStates/California/MarinaDelRey/b682/report/45540 144 dang rock fish with 24 anglers! Dana Wharf had around 50 anglers and caught 400 (and released 300) bass. Well enough about what I do every summer what do you do every summer? It can be anything at all whether with friends, family, or somebody else.

Leaving tonight for 4 days of water skiing and just chilling on Lake Tulloch in Northern California foothills. I got my watermelon and blindfold and stick with box of sparklers for fun.

My family usually tries to take a trip back out to California every summer to go to Disneyland and visit friends and family. I grew up there most of my life, so it's nice always coming back to my roots I guess.

I work a lot so I can take time off during the fall (college football season). Also training for a half marathon. Having running class in swamp-a## Maryland weather isn't that fun and I'll be happy for colder weather.
