Hello,

I'm having trouble getting someone to respond to my support emails for weeks via the contact us link so I'm posting here. My real user account is "log10" but due to past issues sharing my account within my household, I'm no longer able to post in the forums. I created this account so that I can post this.

My Problem
I forgot to add a new non-expired card to my account for the auto-renewal of my membership so the auto-renewal failed. I got an email some weeks ago about my account expiring so I tried to renew my account for the same yearly fee I usually pay but I can't find that option anymore.

My Question
Is there someone at CR that can reinstitute my original yearly membership fee so that I can add a new card and pay for it?

Is this the plan you're looking for: /premium_pick_plan?membership=premium
Or is it this plan: /premium_pick_plan?membership=premiumplus

You'll need to add a valid payment method before attempting to re-subscribe under either plan.

As your membership has expired, you should be able to start a new 12 month Premium membership from this page:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_pick_plan?membership=premium

If for some reason you wanted Premium+, that would be at a different URL.

EDIT: Beat to the punch while looking up the proper URL and composing the message.

Thanks for the reply guys. However, my plan was a Premium+ membership at $69.95 per year. It would take someone from CR to reinstate it.

Did you sign up during a special deal? I believe the normal price has been $99.95 for quite some time now.

Yes, I got this special deal in 2009 and I've been paying the same yearly fee since then. This year, I forgot to update my credit card info but when I got the email about my membership expiring, I was unable to renew at my usual fee.

I tried the Contact Us form but didn't get any responses for weeks. When I did, the support person thought I was having streaming issues. I repeated my issue in a reply but the response I got was that CR no longer provides yearly memberships. I then resorted to creating this post hoping to get someone at CR who understands my main issue and answer whether I have permanently lost my special fee or not.

I'm fairly certain you've lost your special fee.

I'm going to assume that no response from a Crunchyroll representative means you're right.

It was nice being a Crunchyroll member for 6+ years. Too bad it has ended. I guess I'll use this as an excuse to buy more/catch up on the Kindle books I've been accumulating.

As far as I know we are unable to reinstate anyone to an old payment plan. Did you consider getting the yearly plan of regular Premium at 59.99? Premium+ might not be interesting for you, if you are not using the perks like shipping discounts or Premium+ competition.

I guess I want it all or nothing :). I liked getting the extra perks that occasionally get added every now and then throughout the years.

Anyway, as a suggestion to help prevent other people from encountering my issue, before their membership expires and/or when the auto-renewal fails, CR should send an email notice so that they won't lose their special fee. I fully intended to pay for another year of Premium+ membership but I forgot when my renewal was up. It would have been nice if I got an email reminder though.

It's my fault for not remembering when my membership fee was due so I can't complain that my original fee can't be reinstated. I thought I'd ask though. The email support people didn't seem to understand my question but you answered it clearly. Thank you.
