Hi! I was just wondering why I couldn't cancel my recurring payments. I don't know if this is a technical glitch or what but I would like to cancel the recurring payments please

I personally got tired of dealing with Crunchyroll's terrible billing system and now use pre-paid disposable cards that is loaded with the exact amount for a subscription that I want to purchase at the time. Then when it tries to renew it fails and I just resubscribe when I get another card.

That's weird, asking on a forum won't help you. I would contact Crunchyroll directly either by phone or e-mail.

@hopper If you haven't already head over to the /contact page and send Customer support a message about it. Make sure to label it as billing.

What happens when you try to cancel?


@Khaltazar Why don't you just buy the gift memberships and then use the code yourself? I feel like it would be a lot less effort.

@ignite The only problem with that is that us Moderators can't do anything but direct them to use the contact form since we don't have the same abilities that the CS people do.

I've moved this to the Site Support forum.

The most common reasons for not being able to cancel are:

1) There's a pending payment. Once the payment has cleared you can cancel any future payments.
2) The membership is being paid for through iTunes, in which case you have to cancel through them.

If neither one of those situations applies to you then you should contact customer support directly using the Contact Us form. You should also contact them if you have a pending payment but it's that payment that you want to cancel.

The membership gifting only sells the one-month plan. I typically buy the plan with more months such as 3, 6, 12 which comes with a discount rather than paying $6.95 x 10 then $6.95 x 2 for a total of $83.40 I would rather pay the $49.99-69.99 (depending on how Crunchyroll feels at the time).

Another route to go would be to pay via PayPal, as you can turn the billing off from PayPal's end.

Ahh, didn't realize that the 3 or 12-month options didn't actually work anymore. That is a shame.

It seems like your trial renewed on July 27th and our system is still processing it.
This usually happens when you have insufficient funds in your card or a billing error that you might want to reach out to your banking establishment and inquire if there is any reason for blocking the charge.

Would you like me to cancel the pending charge and your subscription now?
Or you can wait for it to renew successfully and you will be able to cancel recurring payments yourself.

Hi! There shouldn't be any problems with the billing, I checked my account and there's still money in there so I'm not sure where the problem occured. And yes, if that's the problem with the membership go ahead and cancel it. Thanks for the help
