I'm just wondering? I guess the Firestick, Chromething and Samsung TVs aren't working, so what's the thing that does work?

My Roku stick works just fine.

(AppleTV works too though I like it less and don't use it as much, and have heard that autoplay next is broken--not a big deal, for me since it's not a feature I use.)

I have the CR app for PS3 and, while I don't use it often, it has worked fine every time I've used it. The caveat is I'm not sure it can do HD. Haven't tinkered with it much but it doesn't look like you can choose the stream quality, so I assume it's sticking to 480p at most.

I'm going back to connecting my laptop to my TV with an HDMI cable for the moment, which I use for other streaming sites anyway (and watching lots on the TV app until it goes ).

It automatically chooses the best quality (up to 720p, I believe), based on your connection.

I use my Roku 3, which functionally works mostly OK, although I'm not fully in love with the newer forced-PS3 looking interface.

Presumably the new TVs from Hisense, TCL, Sharp (US rights bought by Hisense now), and Insignia who all offer Roku interfaces would work as well, but I don't own one, because I have always been a proponent of separate components that can be individually replaced if they break instead of an all in one box, where if one thing goes wrong, you have nothing until it comes back from the shop.

I also have my Fire TV stick side-loaded with the Android app (version 1.1.2) and that works well enough except for the search function.

These are all supposedly supported /devices, but as you say, there have been issues reported with a few of them.

Chromecast works just fine from the mobile apps. Also the Crunchyroll Android app can be sideloaded to Android TV devices like the Nexus Player and the newer Sony TVs - it works in the tablet landscape mode OK, but a native app would be better.

Yeah I didn't want to fart around with side-loading because after awhile it just starts to be a pain in the ass. I'm getting old and lazy and damn it, I just want my magical whizbang box to work.
