College Majors/Minors/Classes
Posted 8/3/15 , edited 8/3/15
I was just wondering how many people were in college and what your Majors/Minors are,
Why you chose the College you are going to, What courses are you taking atm,
and what you plan to do with your degree after you graduate.

Forgive me if this post is already out there somewhere.

Computer Engineering, specifically Machine Intelligence

Chem + Lab
Engineering
Ethics
Calc + Analytical Geometry
English

The college I'm going to is the first STEM college in Florida, was built in 2014 so everything is state-of-the-art, amazing labs, high qualifications for professors, has small classrooms, I have a full scholarship for going, and everything is relatively cheap. Plus it's less than 15 minutes away.

I want to either join up with a major technology firm for the time being and then start my own firm once I have a feel for the industry after x amount of years or go oversees and work in a European or Japanese lab.

I've taken like almost 20 classes at this point so that's kind of a tough question

I go to school in Florida.. I mean well my school is in Florida.
Nice, I have to take computer science & internet this month ;_;

Your plans sound really cool, I don't know where I'll fit in but I am trying to go over to The Netherlands after college and get an English proofreading job.

So far, the only classes I really hate are the English Composition classes -_-" I just finished English Comp II..still have III and IV to go >_>

Did a quick check, and didn't find any obvious dupes, though I thought there was one before.. sorry if I missed it as well! The one I was thinking of may have been closed since I saw it.

I chose mine because they offered me a full ride scholarship, and I used that to get a pair of degrees in computer science and computational mathematics. It was also somewhat close to where my parents lived when I started, though they moved out from under me about a year into my college classwork, bah! I lived on campus anyway, just made it harder to visit (and maybe do laundry...)

University for Religion and Culture.
I love how people light up when talking about their own beliefs knowing that you aren't going to judge.
It also means I cannot escape... I have in fact written essays on Noragami and Ao no Exorcist...

I'm going for a degree in Creative Writing :D

I have to live with my Grandparents until they pass to take care of them, then I'm moving.
I loved living on campus when I did, but hated all the responsibility of keeping my room clean ;P

Which school are you going to? I'm going to Florida Polytechnic University. And AI is something I've always dreamed about and wanted to pursue. I've had a lot of time to think about what I've wanted to do and where I wanted to go since before high school XD And it's such a vastly growing field too. It's hard to imagine what 10 or 20 years will look like from now. Science is suppose to be growing exponentially so we'll see where it takes us.

Geology major with a minor in Mathematics

I will be taking:
Geomorphology
Structural Geology
Sedimentology and Stratigraphy
Higher Mathematics for Engineers II (Differential Equations)
and a Physical Ed class as on trips we need to walk 20ish miles to our locale to examine

When I graduate I would like to work with NOAA or NASA or possibly in Europe (I took a lot of German).

I graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree, and now work at a liquid phosphate chemical plant. I handle most of the engineer design for our sites capital projects and am tasked with the continuous improvement of our processes.
