That's not blunt unless he was telling you something that you agreed was the truth, in which case you really have nothing to be upset about. If not, then that kid was just being mean and rude because he knew he can get away with it. That's mostly because no one showed him the consequences of that kind of behavior. A quick punch in the mouth should have fixed it... or if you prefer more traditional methods, a good 10-15 lashes would suffice.

Some kid told me I was black because I'm full of sin... I told the kid "You're damn right!"... Racist fuck...

The truth hurts...lol jk

Kids are naturally curious and will often say what's on their mind. Personally, I prefer blunt people over the "too nice" ones. If something is ugly, tell me it is ugly and don't sugar coat it...

Racism is disturbing enough.

I find it more disturbing watching it being taught to young children though. Gives me the chills while simultaneously grinding my gears. Doesn't make me blame the child, makes me hate the parent that taught their kid petty hate like that. Kids really don't start branching off from the views of their parents until around college time usually. It can take a long time, sometimes sooner...but generally...

I'm getting irritated just thinking about it, time to listen to happy music.

I thought by blunt you would mean just a straight out no but DAMN THATS BLUNT. Maybe that's just a blunt kid and he/she's never known what its like to get fired/suspended because of his/her attitude

Because when kids are young, they are taught to be honest. At that young age, usually kids don't differentiate being rude and being truthful as separate things, because they are telling what they believe to be the truth at the time. As a person get older, they, of course, learn when to not be so rude when talking to others.

When I was very young I'd end up shocking the family with the things I said. For instance, in the Caribbean the electricity company can cut off power suddenly without any prior warning. It could because of maintenance work, accidents ect. A neighbourhood would just have a black out one night and things would be back to normal the following day. I'd never experienced that before so 5 year old me asked the grandparents if they'd failed to pay their electricity bill. The grandparents strongly believed that children should be seen and not heard. Grandmother was a large woman so I asked her why her body was so big and her head so small. I also asked her where her knees went when she stood up. I was told to speak when spoken to. That lasted a few minutes until I told them that if everyone did that no one would speak. Then I was told to count to ten before I open my mouth with any of my thoughts. That helped me learn to think carefully before I spoke.

Kids are so fucking blunt like...how do they get away with that especially if they're mean...

A few years ago a kid asked me if I have a boyfriend and I said no and he said "Is it because ur ugly and fat and only play video games all day?"

Like, damn??

Not even I was that blunt when I was younger.

freaking hilarious

I'm really blunt and honest also, it's why I'm quiet and shy, got into too much trouble. Now I don't say anything mean cuz I just keep thinking positively so it's easier.

someone has bad parenting or too much tv/bad influence/etc but that isn't a "natural" thing...

i mean kids say whatever they want anyway, but usually not something like that. I work with kids; that's kind of unusual he would go that far.

I had to hang out with 13 year olds for a week because I was attending university classes with them and they wouldn't shut the fuck up about how I'm too old when literally I'm only 3 years older than them.

I know it's not that harsh compared to what other kids/teenagers have said but I consider it rude than blunt since there is a different.

Better blunt and honest than a refined ass-kisser. I'm less inclined to trust mature adults than other kids, as adults have been playing the game longer and make better liars.

Anyway I don't think age has anything to do with it.

That's true but only if this kid knows that having a boyfriend/girlfriend is not some hurdle you have to get over that confirms your looks or shape are on par lol. For all we know, this kid just wanted her attention and now she's still thinking about what he said xD. Anyway, i thought it was hilarious. Maybe anzn should lose a couple of pounds (for herself) if it bothers her :D.

I wasnt THAT fat or ugly. I often covered up myself alot, by wearing bangs, huge sweatshirts & jackets practically all the time, and I admit I did play video games a lot more than now too.

I probably weight 30-40 less pounds now, compared to around the time it happened.
It doesn't bother me, its just like...I can't believe this kid actually said something like that.
