Lesbian feminist lives as a man for 18 months

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip7kP_dd6LU

"She was blown away by how accepting men were without knowing who she was and how poorly she was treated by women while acting as a man.

She goes from declaring that women are oppressed to saying that women are privileged and that her feminist conceptions of men were completely wrong. Men do not have it easier than women, there isn't male privilege and she openly declares that men need help."

It's funny that I found this video thanks to a feminist who posted it (I'm not a feminist) and all she said was "What. The. Fuck. I remember when this book came out and gotta say seeing this video almost 10 years later I am cringing. So uniformed. UGGHH"

So uninformed? what's better than "waking a mile in someone else's shoes"?

She's mad and whiny just because the experience of that woman contradicts all her feminist beliefs. I never heard of this story before but I bet if it was a guy acting like a woman for a while and saying that "women are not privileged" this would have been all over the news and feminists would love it...

However, I really hate the fact that the little interest this story got was only because it came out from a woman's mouth. Men are usually ignored, it doesn't matter what they say or so it seems. People would laugh at men saying they are not privileged.

making a second post of this are we?

And maybe so that she was more accepted by strangers that where males insted of female wonder why...

Yes ofc some people will have it harder then others, either if its male or female, between working style/job there is a huge difference while by others things too.

In the past (before we got alot of tech) most males around HERE where I am, had it way thougher since of very hard and dangerous work (and like trasporting mail like money or other things many would die by just getting lost in the mountains)

Is that common?

In the army (atleast where I am from) there is not much difference but in "front line" or stronger forces there is alot more males.

Women aren't allowed combat jobs in the military. And the vast majority of tough labor jobs are done by men.

Is there another thread about this? I didn't find it.... a mod can delete or merge this one with the first one.

The point of the thread is not about how some people will have it harder than others. It's about how feminists think that women are oppressed and that all men, especially white men, are highly privileged which is not the case. We are all the same, and yes some have it harder than others regardless of the gender.

And the video shows that as a women she was accepted by both men and women but as a man she was hardly accepted by women.

Never said this was about anti-feminism...just wrong assumptions made by feminists.

A lot more men isn't only men though. Yes, women are less strong but there are women who can be as strong as men and be there, yes ^^

But they're all feminists, there's no "real feminist".

Either way, people only take notice about how this is "against feminism" instead of focusing about the message this woman was giving....

Don't even bother, this woman was long since decried and declared to be no true feminist(tm). Only feminists subscribed to the one true Narrative are ture feminists(tm).

I'm a traditional feminist. The video is not anti feminist, calm the fuck down.

Anyway, I really wish more would try walking in other people's shoes for more things, even if it is just mentally. Going the extra mile like this would certainly be opinion changing. If only it was easier for people to try something like this.

I think the difference in sexuality between male and females is interesting in the video too. I doubt it applies to all though and it's a bit of a overreaching generalization. So I'm a bit curious on those statements.

Although the scene where the woman gets hostile and tries to get rid of 'Ned' can also be a sign of anxiety. I'm a bit anxious around males myself so it's hard to say if it was or not. It makes you look to escape situations, even if it can seem a bit unapproachable. I've been guilty of doing that. It improved as my anxiety did.

It's great she learned that it isn't just women that have problems, lol.

Well she was very "male" from before in body build, if it was a thin and soft skin female then she would have a rougher time as a male same with a guy looking more like a female maybe would have a easier time as well.

looks, behavior etc

But calling someone feminist or so I would really it to be rather more used in those who do it for a hobby/work like studies, actions (like working for this and fixing stuff) its annoying when it gets used all the time even though some do act like a feminist there is no right or wrong as long it goes for women since thats whats it is basicly for women but also that it is for equality (and the act of those who thing it was not equal and tries to make things more for "equality" after what they though was not equality from before)

I didn't say only men?
yes there is genders that are equally as strong some maybe stronger...
but as you can clearly see no women can ever (most likely) go into special forces atleast and maybe not the navy either (depends if they didn't change it and did something that worked for females since last try she nearly died from it)
