Hey guys! I'm still fairly new to anime but i've watched a couple of shows already. I was just looking for something new to watch. I'm looking for something like log horizon or SAO, you know like virtual rpg shows or something like naruto or fairy tail where you can see the character get better and stronger over time. I'd appreciate it if you leave suggestions and like a little summary of the show without giving away too much lol Thanks in advance guys

.Hack: Another trapped in an MMO anime.

Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Boy tried to become stronger hero--in world with clear RPG mechanics--to get closer to his crush, the strongest girl in the town.

Accel World: Socially awkward boy told that he has potential to be a great player of secret--somewhat illicit--Virtual Reality fighting game.

Btoom!: Young man kidnapped, dropped on island, told to play real-life version of bomb-based fighting game. (Figuring out the game mechanics are important to his survival)

Eureka Seven: Mysterious girl in a giant robot drops onto the house of a lonely boy--he agrees to accompany her, as it seems that he has some connection to the robot. (Learns to fight and pilot over the series)

High School DxD (extremely ecchi): Boy murdered on his first date; resurrected by beautiful devil in exchange for joining her group. (Learns to fight over the series)

Shokugeki no Soma-Kun is good if you can get past the random nudity. It's about a boy learning to cook so he can take over his father's restaurant.

Other than that, Bleach is pretty good. I think what I read of the manga was slightly better, but the anime is good too.

Gurren Lagann - Hero comes from the humblest of beginnings to fight the forces that oppress humanity. Most EPIC anime ever!
http://www.crunchyroll.com/gurren-lagann

Kill la Kill - Girl fights against the elite of a superelite academy to find out who killed her father. Very crazy, but very cool show. First six episodes can range from totally awesome to why am I watching but it starts getting great after that.

It's honestly the only way I can think of to describe the show without spoiling anything.

NGNL: Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers have spawned urban legends all over the Internet. These two gamers even consider the real world as just another "crappy game." One day, they are summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternate world. There, God has prohibited war and declared this to be a world where "everything is decided by games"—even national borders. Humanity has been driven back into one remaining city by the other races. Will Sora and Shiro, the good-for-nothing brother and sister, become the "Saviors of Humanity" on this alternate world? "Well, let's start playing."

Hunter x Hunter (2011): Gon, a young boy who lives on Whale Island, dreams of becoming a Hunter like his father, who left when Gon was still young. At the age of 12 he sets out on a quest to become a Hunter and finding his estranged father.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Urameshi Yusuke, 14 years of age, is about as troublesome and violent as teenagers come. He is constantly ditching school, causing trouble, and getting into numerous fights everyday. One day however, he does the unexpected, sacrificing himself to save a young child. Such an action, was never ever expected, especially coming from someone as troublesome as Urameshi Yusuke. The afterlife is not prepared for Yusuke, as they never thought he would make such a sacrifice. Nowhere to go, and dead, Yusuke becomes a ghost and must earn his way back into existence.

Ushio and Tora: Long ago, a ferocious monster terrorized the land, until a samurai, wielding the legendary “Beast Spear”, sealed him away. 500 years later, a middle school student named Ushio Aotsuki accidently uncovers the monster in a hidden cellar under his family’s temple. The unsealed monster and the spear attract many other supernatural creatures to the temple and Ushio is forced to release the monster in order to defeat them. Ushio names the monster “Tora” and unwillingly work together to battle other spirits and demons.

FMA: The rules of alchemy state that to gain something, one must lose something of equal value. Alchemy is the process of taking apart and reconstructing an object into a different entity, with the rules of alchemy to govern this procedure. However, there exists an object that can bring any alchemist above these rules, the object known as the Philosopher's Stone. The young Edward Elric is a particularly talented alchemist who through an accident years back lost his younger brother Alphonse and one of his legs. Sacrificing one of his arms as well, he used alchemy to bind his brother's soul to a suit of armor. This lead to the beginning of their journey to restore their bodies, in search for the legendary Philosopher's Stone.

FMA:B- Remake of FMA that follows the manga more faithfully.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (2012): In ancient Mexico, people of Aztec had prospered. They had historic and strange "Stone Mask". It was a miraculous mask which brings eternal life and the power of authentic ruler. But the mask suddenly disappeared. A long time after that, in late 19th centuries when the thought and life of people were suddenly changing, Jonathan Joestar met with Dio Brando―. They spend time together through boyhood to youth, and the "Stone Mask" brings curious fate to them that.

Saint Seya: Ages ago, the goddess Athena was served by fighters called Saints who channeled the power of the Cosmos within them. Now a youth named Seiya has trained to become a Saint himself by earning the mystical Cloth of Pegasus. He is joined by other Saints with Cloths of their own to fight for Athena.

Pretty much every fighting Shounen ever.
