As the title says, how did you meet your significant other? If you had been friends for a while, what was your big "aha!" moment? You can even say how you met an ex-partner that meant a lot to you, it's all good.

I met my husband on a blind date, his friend was dating my friend and they figured we would like each other. We went out to sushi together as a double date on Valentine's Day (accidentally, not planned) and then later he and I hung out for a few hours watching Yugi-Oh! Abridged.

Met my wife in college, her college... I was invited by some high school friends to come visit their college. My future wife was in the same dormitory my friends were in and we hung out as a group. After visiting the campus on weekends for a month or two I asked her on a date - though, she thought I was inviting the group to the movies. Was not till the night of the date, and none of the 'group' was getting ready, did she realize it was a date. She said she panicked all night as it was her first official date, but honestly don't recall anything other than how beautiful she looked.

Now this is a nice topic!

Let's seeeeee. We met on a chatbox called xat that was being used as a clan chat for a Naruto flash game forum. (IKR?) We didn't talk much at first, but eventually became decent friends. At some point around then he confessed and I rejected him because I wasn't into the whole online relationship thing and well, I didn't know him enough really. Heh.

He decided to stay friends regardless of being quite devastated about it. Fast forward a few years and we got to the point of talking every single day for hours on call. Only as best friends though. We were still looking for people in terms of romance. Basically cheering each other on and supporting each other. We got into arguments as any do, some bad, others not as much. A couple more years of that and eventually the every day talking became something more. I suppose it was the undeniable trust we had between each other along with the fact we had an emotional understanding of sorts. He had my best interests at heart and that's hard not to fall for eventually. I came to rely on him. I finally admitted I had feelings for him too. Only took like 5 years but hey. So that's how I met my friend and best friend and idiot lover.

Awesome story... Its nice to build up a friendship before anything else. Makes the foundation strong to fall back on if things get rocky.

I met my wife at an all girls college in Oakland called Mills College.Me and 3 other guys snuck through the window of his sisters dorm window to go to party we figured 20 girls 3 guys odds would be good. When we get there to our dismay a lot of the girls had girlfriends opps didn't figure that in our equation but she asked me to dance and then sneak out for a stroll and we started dating from then on.

It's one of those things you never see coming and just happens. You're right, we do have our heated arguments but that foundation makes it so gosh sturdy, hah.

It was awful. I hated them. 10/10 would never do again.
