SPEAKING of money that I don't have, I just saw a Makoto Tachibana figure on for pre-order and I'm dying on the inside because I currently can't afford it.

Next get to know you guy(s) questions:

Any merch you guys have your eye on, or are you not that deep into the anime life?

Not wanting merch doesnt make you boring at all. In fact, you're lucky because now you don't have another thing to spend your money on.

They also have a Hestia scale model I want as well thats on sale oh noooooo

Do you know what its like to want merch, and want to get your hair and nails done, AND have a VIB card at a high end makeup counter you're obsessed with all on a budget that JUST allows you to eat?
You stay as you are. For the BOTH of us lmao

well hestia is bestia ( what i mean by that terrible pun is that i would honestly consider getting that )

no but i do know what its like to want this new game that came out, but you want this new part for your car that runs fine but it would be nice to have run faster, but remember your tring to save money, so you start cutting into you food budget for drinks and watch anime to sooth your woes of being able to do what you want but dont want to risk being flat broke and unable to do nothing.

I've been flat broke enough times that I don't even consider eating a necessity, as long as everything else is paid for, then I can get through my work day and eat at home. It's rough but i'll put it in my inspirational speech when I'm at a point in my life where I can do whatever the hell I want and people want and inspirational story from me

you know a ramen diet aint all that bad once you get creative.

but im at the point in my life where i have the two cars ive always wanted both running and with spare engines.

now all ive got to do is save enough money to start my business, to make more money ( hopefully have fun along the way and maybe find someone too. ), and then never have to work again!

and finally live my dream

I just need to get started, that's all I care about. Not even the money or the things I want. I just wanna get FREAKIN' started. Like, SOME kind of progress is all I care about right now.

Oh well, one day at a time, I guess

I want to start a multi-unit company that's anime inspired with a north American twist. One that does animation and Manga creation, as well as merchandise and the like. But I want it to be independent so it gives artists a chance to ACTUALLY be creative, instead of getting screwed over like some companies do.
However, I'm starting off teeny tiny by making friends in the anime community and eventually make sure fan base. Then from there I can start. Work from the inside out, if you will.

i see meeting artist in the making and learning to understand the people and the community that you hope to work with and serve. Brilliant! haven't heard something this far thought out in a while.

but what is this north american twist?

I just want to give it a different vibe. Most anime/manga you see or read is very Japanese (OBVIOUSLY). It's mannerisms, history, etc, etc. The twist is more catered to what we're used, which is more outspoken and verbal, even sexualized differently. It'll be less "oh I hope senpai notices me >/////<" cutesy shite.

And I know not all of anime is like that of COURSE not, but the majority of it is. Even the edgier stuff has that, like, demure feeling to it, you know? Like they're insulting you but you're kind of just like "yeah whatever shut up"

Think like, Afro Samurai or The Boondocks. Still anime inspired, but VERY North American. Maybe not as ratchet as the boondocks though, even though that's what made it amazing lmao

i think i know the feeling,

feeling of mannerisms like the difference between manga and comics,

heck there's this one book that i can picture but not name that perfectly emulates this its like a manga book written by a Jamaican guy.
actually the first manga ive ever read it was about this guy ( who looked alot like me which to this day only happened once ) tring to make it in life it had shooting, robbery, gang violence, sex, poverty refernces.... it felt like home

Like they're insulting you but you're kind of just like "yeah whatever shut up" is that like the difference between the Cosby show and full house?

I still need to watch the newest season of the boondocks, and I have both DVDS of Afro, that series was BOMB.

But as far as like, Japanese insults go, it's like, I can walk up to you and tell you to f**k yourself, but they're more like intricate about their insults. We get to the point and attack quick and hard while they take their time. It's little differences like that.

Not that any of that is a BAD thing, that's what makes anime ANIME, it's obviously gonna reflect where it came from. I just want to make something a little different, but equally as popular, if not more so.
