the era of needing feminists are done thanks to those who are unfamiliar of what a true feminist are, so all those who call themselves as such aren't, merely wannabes. as a feminist you stand as one for women's rights, you don't pick and choose, or deny the ones that don't suit or fit into your way of life. so, with that, I suppose I am a true feminist, I'm against treating women as slaves (also sex slaves), raping them when you feel like it, sex trafficking, genital mutilation, and I'm for everyone should sign up for draft at the age of 18 not just males. and many others of dos and don'ts of course...

It pretty much depends on the definition of Feminism: I believe that women who take non-traditional Western gender role should be given the same status and rights as men and traditional Western women; I believe that women should not be valued solely by their feminine beauty nor their ability to satisfy men`s lust; I believe that men could also take traditional female role of Western culture.

There are too many listings for what counts as a feminist. Mostly you're either a Fem- Nazi or you accused that don't stand for women's rights at all if you disagree with one of the many subcategories that makes it into the feminist belief's.

I have no desire to get caught up in wordplay, but I do simply believe in equality. I firmly believe that there is no standard household, and a man can easily perform roles traditionally applied to women while she works, and I believe the opposite is true. If a woman wants to stay at home and raise children, she deserves the same amount of respect. Nothing is less, we're all equal. I take it no further than that. I simply believe in basic human rights and equality.

The modern use of feminism has become so distorted that I won't associate myself with it. What we need is equality in third world countries.

I'm for equal opportunity, not equal outcome. These two are opposites, and can never exist at the same time. In the Western and far Eastern world the genders have equal rights and opportunities, and thus equality is achieved. It is a won battle. This is thanks to the first and second wave of feminism, and as such I would have been a feminist under these movements.

Third wave feminism strive for equal outcome however, who's goals are identical to that of communism. Communism bring forth pain and suffering every single time it is attempted, despite seemingly good intentions. One can no longer believe that the people who preach these ideologies are ignorant of its effects however, as there is too much evidence in modern times to disprove it. One must thus conclude that they simply use it as a means to achieve power they cannot achieve in a competence hierarchy (through fair play). As such, since I don't aspire to become a mass-murderer, then I cannot view myself as a feminist under the modern usage of the word. This might sound extreme, but it is very accurate, and as such I shouldn't sugarcoat it.
