Dude you just hit the nail on the head with that. I bought a book for my 1 credit health class, never ever used it during the semester. I couldn't believe I spent like 30-40$ on a book that was never going to be used.

If I can't pirate a book now, I make sure to wait until we need it. If I need to fast ship it, fine, but I'd rather wait to make sure it's going to be used.

Thankfully I didn't have to buy books but if I did I would definitely do what you did.

Iv taken up the habit of just waiting after the first class to be sure. It's just such a waste of money sometimes.

I honestly think at the very least books should be included in the tuition. The TEXTBOOK CARTEL must be stopped!

What's even worse is when they release new editions and you have to buy the shit, just so they could move the problem numbers around. Assholes.

I would like to point out to some of our European posters, that you have to understand that we have cities or metroplexes/ metropolitan areas larger than quite a few of your countries.

Hey, it's great if you join up with one of the biggest kids on the block, tell him you'll put 2% of your GNP into defense, not follow through with that, but cry to the big kid when the bully looks at you funny.

Rinse-repeat for 70 fucking years.

Also I thought everybody loved Hugo Boss.

I agree with you. Textbook prices are absurd. And some of these professors need a textbook thrown at them for making people waste hundred of dollars on a textbook that they know damn well only needs to be used twice out of the whole semester - or in some cases not at all.

Yea the textbook companies operate like criminal syndicates. Someone needs to shut them down and bring freedom to the masses

I think the worst thing about textbooks is when the teacher makes up a book, sells it for $150 and it looks like a fucking 5th grader made it without help from mommy and daddy, and bonus points if they use those brass tack things.
