God no! American voice actors ruin anime voice overs. They have no passion as for them it's just a job. For the Japanese voice actors it's a career and a way of life so they're full of passion.

Now i have nothing against subs or dubs, but I doubt CR is going to get more dubs due the fact that theres already 3 streaming sites out there that have dubs and usually associated with the studio that dubs them.

With that said I'm going to point out that your wrong about dub actors just being a job for them. Most voice actors that do dubbed anime work are in it for the passion of it, I can't say that about all of em of course. Most of the voice actors have to either go fully into the industry aka directing, writing, ect. or they have to get a 2nd job outside of the industry. When it comes down to it there are just as many voice actors in both fields doing it for the love of it vs just a job to get paid. A lot of people often forget when it comes to dubbing thats its more than just anime or video games and other countries also do dubbing of shows.

The anime industry in the early 2000's i'll admit wasn't the best of acting and changed a lot of things so that most people would understand it better. These days theres way more passion in the industry then there was 10+ years ago and less changing in general.

I'm not here to try and force you into liking something you dont but dont expect everyone to have the same opinion about things as you do. You bashing on dubs is no different from someone bashing on subs and if they started doing it they would get chewed out. So please keep your opinions about dubs being bad to yourself, provide the logical reasons on why they shouldn't do dubs on CR, not just because you feel they're bad.

Please no, very very few dubbed versions can find suitable English voice actors. I find it horrendous when they take characters with deep adult voices, and then dub over them with childish voices to make them more suitable for child audiences in American animation society....

Interesting, I'm glad that there's people out there who actually like all the hard work American voice actors do to dub anime, and I wouldn't mind crunchyroll putting more up, but I can only imagine it being a licensing nightmare. The most popular shows are done by Funimation, and with them having their own streaming site I doubt they'd be able to touch them. Maybe they could strike a deal with Sentai? They're starting to put dubs out and I think a good portion of their catalog is already in crunchy's catalog so all I can see is nothing but a plus for Sentai, that way they can get their dubs out there.

Also, expect a lot of dub bashers to voice their opinion, and then don't pay attention to them if all they're saying is "dub is trash" only give thoughts to ones who actually provide reasons.

Like when? I don't think I've ever come across that, sure I've seen deep voiced Japanese voices turn into regular not as deep voices in dubs, but whenever they go super childy it's usually because that's the character.

I gave a valid reason. Placing a voice actor that sounds like their 12 on a character that's suppose to be in their 20s, 30s, is very annoying. Showing the stereotype in America that all animated content is for children is still strong. But hey if they want to make it and you want to buy it go for it.

Well considering 90% of hardcore DBZ fans hate or never heard the original Japanese voices I don't mind that example much. Also, it's probably what not a lot of people would think, but a dub is an adaptation, and not all of their voices will transfer over. To take from the DBZ well: would people still like Goku if his American voice was an old lady voice like in Japanese? I would think not. Also, voice actors are a really well known job in Japan, whereas voice actors in America are mostly looked down upon. They barely get recognized for the actual kid shows that they voice. The American market is still very small, and young in both dubbing and voice acting that it's not surprising that they can't match every character perfectly, and I'm totally fine with that. There are some voices that I get used to, while others sound so much better in English. You also have to realize there are people out there who love anime, but hate reading subtitles. Sometimes the dubs are all they can see, and in fact dubs are better now than before.

Edit: Characters in anime are rarely in their 20s and 30s so I'm not sure who you're talking about

lol read subtitles? I learned Japanese... Rosetta stone is awesome. Took a year, but gained a language over a million people speak, marketable experience, and I don't have to read from 1 language.

As has been pointed out, your not likely to see that much dubbed anime on CR because they don't do the dubbing themselves. The other anime sights that legally stream dubs do the dubbing themselves.

As to dubs vs. subs, I like both. Dubs are great for times when I'm wanting the anime to be playing while I do something else. If I'm doing something like cooking, building a model kit, cleaning, or working (I work from home) it makes great background noise for when my mind does not need to be fully engaged.
When I feel like concentrating on the show, I will watch subs.
