Its about random food you thought you didn't like, and was something you loved/liked.

Yesterday I made Kissel or how we say red porridge in my place.
Its like a mix of jelly and -[something else I forgot]-
its smoother and more round in tastes.

(only thought it was better then expected)

Russian dessert made of boiled water and juice (maybe some berries or sugar)
while adding potato starch or something else to make it thick.

I really never came up with that problem. I want to try pretty much every food I can... So I do it!

I have eaten foods from insects to blood sausage to pickled herrings (urgh... I hate that stuff) all the way to stuff like zebra and ostrich! I even eat regular food some times!

I never judge a food before I eat it... or I try not to at least!

I while ago, I thought I'd never like mackerel. It's oily and smelly and goes bad too fast.

Grandma taught me to half-fry and then cook them. Basically just fry them in a little oil on both sides, then add a light soy sauce, green onions, sliced ginger, a little water, cover and cook. Done. There's no trace of fishiness left and you get a great bit of liquid to pour onto your rice. This is how I cook mackerel whenever I catch them now.

I also learned how to make cured mackerel sushi like the kinds you find in restaurants but it only works with very fresh mackerel. Shime saba is an underrated dish here in the states, although I saw a lot of it in Kyoto, where saba battera is a specialty. Good mackerel sushi has such a deep and delicious flavor, better than most other kinds of sushi fish. Shime saba is a pain in the butt to make, though. Takes me two days, and you have to pick out the bones before slicing and serving.

Never thought I'd love Orange Juice.
Now half of my eating budget is spent on it.

Well I think most of those would be normal food but like insects no way and zebra too exotic..
Yeah don't judge food but atleast know if its safe to eat.. if its bad then it would just go out agian and the whole thing would be a waste either way.

Well I have done some more exotic food. I had a rotting meat once that is popular in the Netherlands I believe? I cant remember the name because it was like O.o I got sick as hell from that too. I have had kangaroo (tastes like steak!) and sea urchin which is a bit unique too? I swear sooner or later I am going to die from eating something bad X)

Mine is too simplistic. I hated ketchup, mustard, sour cream and cream cheese while growing up, now I love them all.

Mine was simplistic too. I hated everything that was not chicken nuggets or fish sticks... Now I try to eat everything and the kitchen sink. Only thing that sucks due to that I have to always work out. No free days for me!

Been in love with chicken nuggets since they debuted . I still make homemade ones every week. The sea never made a friend of me; whether beach, swimming pool or dinner plate it's always been my arch-enemy .

I have to enjoy the shellfish before I turn 30-35. My entire male half of my family within that age got serious shellfish allergies. So I have to eat them all before I cant any more! No regrets!

Also, I am a sailor at heart. I love the sea!

We're definitely polar opposites on the sea, man. I drowned in a swimming pool and almost died from bad tuna .
